An inexpensive surprise in Vitrac. Family run and very helpful in directing us to the pleasures of the Sarlat area.

Beautiful, peaceful location
We had a really lovely stay, the hotel is nearby lots of pretty villages and Sarlat is also only a short drive away. It was quiet and peaceful at night. We had a room on the same floor as reception with a lovely view out over the front lawns. The WiFi in the room was decent enough, though probably not strong enough for streaming something. Only French channels on the TV and no English subtitles, but that's just a small inconvenience. Breakfast was really tasty. There was a basket of mini pastries for every table which was a nice touch. The pool is fantastic, spent as much time in it as we could. It was never overly busy and one evening we even had it to ourselves, it's great that it stays open late. Only downside of the pool was the number of wasps, there was a lot on either end of the pool, but probably not much can be done about that. I really look forward to staying here again sometime!

Nice hotel in Vitrac
The Hotel Le Clos Roussillon is a centrally-located place to settle for an extended visit to the Perigord Noir region. Our room had a small kitchen with all the basic needs and a lovely private porch with table, chairs and umbrella where we had our breakfast every morning and which has a great view across the valley to Domme. We didn't use the pool but saw that several of the guests were. The proprietors are very nice, our room was very clean if a bit small but, all in all, we were very happy with our stay.

Celine and her family offered us generous hospitality in their beautiful hotel. She gave us very helpful recommendations about visiting the region, as well. Delicious breakfast each morning. Fabulous place to stay in Dordogne!
