We had an amazing stay at the Shangri la hotel. Amazing staff, amazing food, really clean and great facilities with a great view of the Opera house and the harbour bridge while we had breakfast every morning. Can't fault this property at all and we are already planning our next trip here!

I was really disappointed with my stay at Shangri-La. The rooms are very outdated and have a noticeable unpleasant smell. The carpets feel old and worn, which doesn’t give a clean or fresh impression at all. The beds and pillows were quite uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, the condition of the room falls well below what you’d expect from a five-star hotel. In my opinion, the property is in serious need of a full renovation to bring it back up to standard.

Paid over &1000 for a Saturday night stayed on level 31 considered a premium room with views over opera house & harbour bridge. This level of accommodation allowed me access to level 30 for afternoon tea, then canapés & unlimited wine & drinks. Then breakfast in the am. My sons room was level 8 & not allowed the privileges I had. My room was standard hotel accommodation not worth $1000. The shower had a fixed head & I would have liked a separate hose head for extra cleanliness. The staff were very helpful. Food & drinks were lovely. My room for $1000 was totally overpriced .

Each member of the staff was very friendly and helpful. They took care of everything we needed plus. There was absolutely nothing I could find wrong. I strongly recommend upgrading to an upper floor. It included many extras you don’t get from a regular room. Worth the extra for upgrade.

Lovely room on 22nd floor had great views of the harbour and surrounds. The staff at the Shangri-La are lovely and friendly, the rooms are serviced daily and I liked having a Nespresso in the room. This hotel is perfectly positioned for easy walking to everything. The Harbour Bridge, The Opera House, Circular Quay (for Ferries and Metro), The Rocks' selection of great Eateries, Gelatos, and Kid's Playground. Will be back.
