Our only gripe would be service at the restaurants. Saturday morning about 9-9.30am the coffee machine in Crossroads had not yet opened. Saturday evening we wanted an "early bird" dinner but were told the restaurant booked out but we could return at 7.30. Whilst we waited we opted to have a drink at the bar where service took a long time although the bar did not appear particularly busy. At no stage whilst we waited did the restaurant appear anywhere near full. We subsequently dined at the restaurant and again noted the restaurant to be only about a third full. Our side order with the main meal did not arrive (issue not raised with the server as we found meal sizes quite sufficient!) Sunday - again waited a long time to be attended to and incorrect coffee order arrived twice. Restaurant/bar service let down an otherwise pleasant stay. Ps. Whilst having a drink in Crossroads and observing customers at the "High Tea" we saw one lady use a serving spoon to put something in her mouth and then place it back in the dish! Perhaps a server could be stationedcst the buffet at all times.

Incredible service which began before we even arrived! Parked in nearby Kent St and a Swissotel staff member (Thiago) happened to be in the lift at the parking station. He proceeded to carry our bags to the hotel and helped us with nearby tourist hot spots and places to shop/eat. Fabulous location, beautifully presented, and wonderful staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Situated across the road from State Theatre and within easy walking distance to Queen Victoria building, Pitt St mall, Strand Arcade and Westfield shopping centre. Will definitely choose this hotel again for any future Sydney trips.

AMAZING HOTEL

Pros: Friendly staff, beautiful rooms and great breakfast
Cons: No improvement needed
Absolutely loved this hotel, the location is so close to shopping/trains/restaurants, and within walking distance of Circular Quay. The most impressive factor, was the lovely friendly staff, from the lovely man at the door who took our luggage, to the wonderful staff member who recognised we had stayed there previously and was so excited that we had chosen to stay with them again. I travel a lot, and you can’t put a price on the wonderful atmosphere created as soon as you walk through the door. We will be back.

The pictures and description on wotif make this out to be a family friendly hotel, but absolutely nothing at the hotel is kid friendly except a colouring pack we got on the last day. Knowing 4 people were staying in the room (including 2 kids), more than one dining chair would have been good. Otherwise where are the kids to eat breakfast? The carpet or the bed? Room was nice and clean and quiet. Staff were all very nice.

Great location and service

Pros: Quiet rooms, large bathroom, comfy bed. Good service.

Location: Central CBD, close to shops and public transport
Weekend stay whilst visiting the ICC. Great location, room was clean and comfortable, loved the large bathroom with windows. Comfy bed and loads of hot water. My wife loved the big bath. Staff we mostly great, though breakfast service was busy.

We stayed 1 night, arrived late and left early so for us, the sleeping was the most important part. We were not aware of whether we had an option, but bed sheets would have been handy instead of simply a base sheet and quilt. Not everyone likes turning the air con cold to get a comfortable sleep. Due to the super busy street, we parked out front to drop bags and self park. With 2 kids it was a little hectic but before we knew it, we had blown $80 on valet parking instead of self parking for $45. I'd forgive anyone who thought this might be a hotel tactic. I also understand that mini bar is expensive, but $8 for a pack of crisps is offensive enough to go for a walk, which was fine. I just think they'd sell more if they reduced to only highly inflated rates. Couldn't complain about the standard of room, staff friendliness or anything else. Good quality hotel in good location.

Dear Tim, it is disappointing to hear your feedback as we would have loved to provide you with everything possible to make your stay comfortable such as a pillow menu or a spare blanket. We are also surprised to hear that you were not informed about our parking arrangements as these have been clearly laid out in your confirmation email for your kind convenience. Our chips in the mini bar have been carefully sourced and trust they cannot be purchased anywhere else. Nonetheless, we certainly hope that we'll have the opportunity to welcome you back again.

Tranquil oasis in the middle of the bustling CBD

Lovely staff especially at front reception and concierge. Close to everything. Nice pool and spa bath. Good breakfast. Room next to lift shaft - bit noisy. Room only set up for 2 people- we were 4. Not super clean. Old tissues in the fold out sofa bed.
