We have stayed here for about 20 years through all the changes of ownership and management. We’ve really noticed the difference in this management - the quality is so much lower. No spoons in the room to stir a cup of tea, knocking on the door at 8.15 on a Saturday because the cleaner wanted to come and clean before we even got downstairs for breakfast and managers that would just stare at you

Well - Staff need to follow through on requests. The hand soap is very caustic - many of my friends who were staying here at the same time experienced the same. We approached reception & notified & requested some different soap perhaps the small bar versions. Left my number, etc - NOTHING! ALSO...... You were advertising all week $8 local & international Beers. However you were not passing this price on ! When told - played dumb. "Can't do anything about it " - you were replied to - "perhaps take down All the Posters advertising it" - just received a dumb expression back. Hospitality is exactly that - the care, concern, communication & service towards strangers paying to stay or those visiting! Outside around the property needs a fair bit of cleaning up. The Housekeeping staff were excellent - helpful & did an excellent job keeping the room clean.

Overall, it was great and very comfortable but there were no towel rails in the bathroom or a rail to hold to exit the bath safely (shower was in the bath). We also didn’t have a QR Code in our room for room service and the lock on the balcony door was broken. Bed was comfortable and room was very clean.

Excellent location convenient for all our needs, breakfast was great and the bed was one of the best I’ve ever slept in. Place seems a little worn and was slow for us to check in however this was due to another customer complaining

Lovely Hotel - Very Central

Great hotel located very close to Central Station. Easy to access trains, buses and trams from here. The room was very spacious, clean and had plenty of amenities provided. Staff were friendly and helpful. the bathroom is on the small side, but it is perfectly functional and maintained well. Note the restaurant is not open for dinner on Sundays and Mondays. Negative points: The mattress is VERY soft. Really, was quite difficult to sleep/get comfortable in as it was too soft. Staff (& the printed information) could have provided more information, for example, we didn't see check-out time on the printed info and had to look it up. And we weren't told at check-in about the restaurant being closed on Sunday & Monday (we checked in on Sunday). Overall, enjoyed our stay here. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it.

Lovely hotel, booked it without even realising it was where we stayed the last time. The shower-tub was a bit slippery even with their little mat, so I got a huge bruise on my leg, but other than that it was a great stay.

Great Location .. Value for Money

Large well kept rooms in a great location and for Sydney the price is good. The public areas could do with a update, some of the carpets are badly stained and frayed. Overall a good place to stay especially if you are looking for clean comfortable accomodation that is nothing fancy.

Wouldn’t stay again. Positives - close to central station, room was clean/tidy. Negatives - photos on site look a lot nicer, needs some love, went to use the gym and it was as hot as a sauna/couldn’t use, ordered the most expensive beef burgers we have ever had and by far the worst tasting. Over $60 for 2 basic burgers. One wasn’t cooked/the pattie was raw and had to be re made. Very small menu too.
