Would definitely stay again!

My husband and I stayed for our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. It was comfortable, clean, had a great view and was in a very convenient location. The only thing I could fault was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and poor lighting throughout apartment. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

Outdated hotel but good location

Pros: It's location
Cons: Renovation of old rooms/bathrooms
Location: Close to Cavill Mall and the beach
I was very disappointed with my 4 night recent stay. Upon entering the room I found the bathroom very old and tired looking. The shower was probably the worst shower I have ever experienced. It was so bad that the kids wouldn't even use it! Another disappointment was the buffet breakfast, especially the omelette station. I felt so sorry for the person making the omelettes as his poor fry pan was sticking each time. He could quite easily have made 2 or 3 at a time of he was given the right utensils. On the plus side the staff were friendly & attentive & the hotel is in a good location, close to the Mall & the beach.

Shame

Pros: Not much
Cons: Close down old section until refurbished. Can't believe that I was charged the same as those in a refurbished room.
Location: No different from any other hotel in Surfers.
Old room not up to any standard. Heard that hotel was being refurbished as workmen were stripping rooms around us of all inclusions and blocking pathway in hallway when we came back from breakfast. Mould in bathroom; 2 towels for 4 family occupants; carpet dirty; no spare pillows; no personal control of air conditioner. Also, and this takes some digestion : On what universe does the main course come BEFORE the entree as happened in your "restaurant". After cancelling entree, as you would, we were CHARGED for it on the bill !! We were on the 8th floor. Also parking is a joke! Nowhere near hotel lobby entrance through a maze in a shopping centre at $17, carrying our bags for 8 family members. No offer of bellboy.

Sensational Novotel At Surfers Paradise

From start to finish it was nothing but sensational. Great check in, very warm & welcoming. They upgraded our room & gave us a bottle of wine for being a loyal customer. Great view, comfortable bed, fabulous breakfast. Memorable trip at the Novotel!

Guests put first

Pros: *clean linen and towels * comfortable bed /pillows *raindrop showerhead *amazing views *tasty breakfast /seafood buffet *towels at (heated) pool
Cons: Free Wifi is a bit hit and miss but we werent there for business. The paid might be better.
Location: Beach right by. Cavill Ave- restaurants, entertainment, Woolworths, 5 min walk to the Skypoint Deck. Trams out front, buses few mins stroll.
From even before we were greeted at the check in desk the delightful experience began. The hotel was having renovations so they gave a courtesy call to let me know -even though they wouldn't directly impact on my stay. I had advised the hotel it was a surprise booking for my husband as we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and had met on the Gold Coast, and so was really glad the renovations wouldn't stop us using the resort - unlike the resort we were at,at the time of the phone call.( different company who had closed restaurants and pools without any notification). On arrival the lady at reception advised we had been upgraded to a premium oceanview suite and when we saw it, and the view , we were so thrilled. There was a bottle of wine and the personal touch of a congratulatory note. At the pool we used the pool bar and the waitress (Jennifer) was genuinely friendly. I told her about our amazing experience and unbeknown to us, she organised a special dessert surprise for dinner. This is what I mean by they put the guests first. Obviously upgrades are not the norm, But the friendly , helpful staff and amenities are what made the icing on this anniversary escape and I could tell that they were the special touch at this hotel. Of course the rooms with views are amazing too. Definitely the perfect place for a holiday or short escape. Buffet breakfast had variety. Recommend the seafood buffet for dinner. very centrally located hotel.

Pros: Close to Cavill Ave & beach
Cons: More selection on menu. Buffett could include more foods for people who have seafood allergies.
Close to beach ad Cavill Ave. Room was old. Needs refurbishment.

Location

Awesome location. Value for money. We enjoyed our holiday and loved that the hotel was close to everything. We had a nice view of the beach from our room and enjoyed the pool. Close to public transport was a bonus. Would stay here again.

Got charged double for a parking space for 5 days and the hotel doesn't have many spaces so prepare to walk. The only thing I liked about this hotel was that it was close to so many shops and the view of the beach from my room. It took me two days to get my room cleaned after checking in
