Nice hotel close to the beach

Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Great location. Comfortable and clean rooms. Free buffet breakfast for kids.
Cons: Lifts were slow and sometimes broken down.
Location: Centre of Surfer's Paradise. Easy access to theme parks via public transport (tram then bus).
Enjoyable stay in beautiful Surfers Paradise. Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. Room and facilities were very clean.

close to beach- wouldnt bother again

Wouldnt stay here again. Waited 2 days for extra pillows, booking for 4 were only given 2 mugs and 2 glassses in room. After requesting more with no joy, went and got our own from bar! Lifts took 10 mins plus to catch, cleaners dont know what a vaccum is, very gruby (just see the glass doors on entry!) booking advertised “kids eat free” - wasnt the case so we didnt eat there. One lift out of order, printer in lobby out of order and one of two macs in lobby out of order.

Stay somewhere else, it's not worth it

The hotel put it us the wrong room (we booked 2 beds and we had 1) so we had to wait for them to change rooms. The lifts were so terrible slow, hot and small, everyone passed comment on how slow the lifts were (they have 5!! And it took us 8 mins to get one from our floor to ground) The rooms were abit dirty, nothing terrible, but for Novatel I was suprised. Honistly stay somewhere else, its not worth ir

Disappointing accommodation

Pros: Proximity to everything.
Cons: Beds & elevators.
Location: Restaurants, time zone, beach.
My family stayed for 3 nights. There are positive and negatives for this place. The positive is it’s close to the beach & shops, especially a supermarket. Pool looks nice. The breakfast was included in our stay, and food was fresh & always full, staff polite. The negatives started when we first arrived when I was told our room wasn’t ready for another hour and the receptionists implying our room is beautiful but when we finally got there it was very basic. There are 5 elevators & are the slowest I have been in or they broke. Long queues for breakfast, ( last day we decided not to go cause of the waiting time), not sure if our air conditioner worked, but the worst thing was our beds, I could feel the springs causing my back to ache & needing pain relief, if u have a bad back don’t go... basically place needs a revamp.

In the heart of surfers paradise

Rooms were clean but a bit pokey, carpets are old, room had a yucky smell had to keep the door open to the balcony all night. Breakfast included was great! Staff were friendly. Pool was lovely and warm but cloudy.... overall total 3.5

Perfect location, but..

Most of the elevators were out of order. Sometimes you would wait 20 mins for one. We were put on the 35th floor whic was not renovated. Bathroom was horrible bits of mould in shower. We were moved to a renovated room because my partner was too tall for the shower (he’s 6’6”). Even in the upgraded room the air conditioning didn’t work well and the back of the toilet was falling off. Didn’t see cleaners. We aren’t complainers but we were disappointed. If you don’t care out hotel comfort but want a great location then this is the hotel for you.
