Paid for a panoramic view room and only received a room with a view of the pool when complains of staff I was treated terribly and they were incredibly unprofessional. I would have cancelled the reservation and booked elsewhere if I did I had a meeting to get to, room was also untidy and falls and vacuumed upon getting there. 1/10

I found the rooms were small the mattress was very uncomfortable waking up with a back ache. There was no real proper bedside light that actually worked. The staff were friendly and helpful however lack of communication was a factor.

The rooms are small, however they are very clean and the fit out is modern and very well done. Bed is comfortable. Unfortunately the car parking situation isn’t the best. I believe the car park isn’t complete yet, and so I hope once it is, this will rectify the issue, however we were told to drive around the back & park in the car park for the Star and Casino. We drove around for 30 minutes up and down the car park & there was not one available car space. I rang reception and asked for help, as we had been searching for a park for such a long time & the suggestion we were given was to drive to Pacific Fair shopping center, park our car there & walk back. That in my opinion, is not a satisfactory solution for various reasons; 1. I’m a paying guests at the Dorsett I should not have to park my vehicle elsewhere because construction to provide adequate car parking is incomplete 2. Parking at Pacific Fair is not free. So this could have been an extremely costly option if left overnight. 3. It was raining so walking back was not an option, so again extra money would need to be outlaid on a taxi or Uber and lastly that suggestion is very inconvenient, given we had plans that evening which we needed our car for so would have had to continue to walk back & forth. Also, prior to check out I rang down and asked for concierge to collect our bags, we had multiple suitcases & shopping bags. I was told they are too busy & didn’t have available staff to assist. Not the best service.

No chair in my room at all. Couldn’t access ironing board had to kneel on the floor to iron shirt on a low table. Bedside lights one side flashing on and off the other didn’t work at all. I’ve been travelling for work for 20 years it was the worst room I’ve stayed in for work. Not even a decent height table only a small coffee table

The staff were friendly and accommodating as I was staying there for my wedding. They allowed us to pay extra just to have breakfast in the executive and were receptive to my every request. Even though the pool was off limits for an event we were still able to use the Star’s pool. My only surprise was that you pay for the entirety of the stay on check-in and there was no car park on arrival. I had to drive around to the Star’s parking area up to level 3M then unload baggage from there which isn’t a short distance to our room when I think about it. I loved how easily you can access the Stars facilities and restaurants. The interior of the deluxe king room was refined and modern. It was enough room for 2 adults and a small child.
