The room was ok, feels a bit tired and missing some toiletries items, also the Rooms felt a bit noisy from other rooms. The restaurant relish was great food was nice and fresh. The restaurant at the top had nice view and atmosphere lots of food as a buffet but quality was average.

We have stayed at the Crowne Gold Coast and Fiji previously. We noticed a marked difference in the variety and services provided for the buffet breakfast and service staff. The buffet has less variety than other places. One marked difference was that there was no longer a personalised coffee order when you first arrived. There were activities advertised such as cook with a chef, which was advertised and we enquired about. We wreee told we did not need to book just turn up. When we did turn up the front desk had no idea about what was happening it he activity. The manager went about trying to find someone who knew something about it to no avail. Half an hour later we were told that there was a communication breakdown between food and beverage and guest service and that there would no longer be a class conducted. The coffee machine they have there for guests to use, instead of a barista making drinks, was on the blink constantly. One of the days we requested some chilli flakes for our breakfast, the server was unable to locate any chilli flakes. Overall the hotel did not live up to expectations.

Staff were great, room was standard, cleaned regularly, we had ocean view only from our balcony. Breakfast was relatively good- lots of variety. The hotel is dated and needs a refresh. The pool was great on days it was hot otherwise the water was too cold to swim in (I don't think it's heated) apart from the spa. Kids loved it. Good transport link - only one stop to Broadbeach and 2 stops to Cavill Ave. We hired a car but didn't really need it. Not a huge amount of things to do in the vicinity directly outside hotel, such as restaurants so you have to hop on the tram but it's a quick stop so wasn't an issue. The restaurant on the top floor is highly recommended with a great view although comes with a price tag - had my bday there and it was lovely.
