We have stayed at The Crown Plaza Gold Coast many times before and have normally been satisfied with the service, facilities, cleanliness and the amount of choice of food for breakfast. This time however we were extremely disappointed! The property has really aged and in some areas looks very ran down. The rooms smelt musky, the bathroom was dirty with mould all around the wet areas! The toilet seat was way to small for the toilet, so you have to sit on the bowl... Gross!!! The aircon wasn't working properly and the beds need replacing NOW! My husband and I were eating our breakfast in the restaurant, we had food in our mouths, knife and fork in hands and food still on our plates when the waitress came along and took our plates away without even saying a word. We both sat there in shock! It was comical almost. We were waiting for someone to come over to our table and say 'You've been PUNKED!' Sorry Crown Plaza but we won't be back!

The room was clean but showing its age, with some dated furnishings and finishes. The location was very convenient, close to public transport and a pleasant walk into Cavill Avenue. On-site parking was a great bonus. More than adequate for our short 2-night stay.

The shower was leaving and the air con was loud and the bed was very uncomfortable. I notified the staff. The air con was cleaned which improved the noise but that was it. The bed definitely needs to be updated, it sunk down in the middle and was extremely uncomfortable.

Room was tired looking. Wasn’t cleaned at all one day and pretty much only main bed made another and milk cups wine glasses not replaced Sofa barely had the blanket pulled up Desk staff were lovely

Great little overnight. Right on the tram line. Pool was lovely and shallow (and I do not do cold pools!!) Will book again.
