Everything was AWFUL! From service at reception, to cleanliness and stench of the apartment, to not having 2 TV’s work during our entire stay (even though we asked twice for them to be fixed), to the noise of the traffic (apartment is not well insulated) to housekeeping leaving bags of dirty linen near our door. The only good thing was the view of the river, but you can enjoy that from many other hotels in the area. Cross this hotel off your list if you want to have a great holiday up at Gold Coast.

Where can I start got into the room took my sons and my shoes off walks on the carpet for no more then 10 mins and our feet where that black look like we had walk down cavil ave barefoot all morning. Every single lock in the room didn’t work, then moved our mattress to grab something I had dropped and found what was certainly some sort of sex toy that had been broken into serval pieces just sitting there Just to name a few things

Great kitchen/ammenities, pool was good, great access to everything. Park right next door on the water for the kids and another across the road next to Woolies. It was a little out dated and our 1 year old split her head on the tiled stairs that were inside the apartment less than 5 minutes after arriving. This obviously isn’t tikis fault but there weren’t tiled stairs in the listing photo either. There was also a lot for kids to get into. Glass bowls, big kitchen knives etc were all accessible for our 1 year old..

Stayed here many many times and this was the very first time I’ve had to produce $205 on my card, especially if woman are comig there due to DV situations. The receptionist (new girl) was rude and I’ve never in all my years as a local on the Gold Coast, ever experienced that from Toki Hotel Team. Disappointed.

Rooms are extremely dated, broken tiles, old sagging bed in bedroom. Fold out bed was revolting, sagging, stained and old, my son slept on top of the lounge. Leaking toilet cistern, and generally a noisy location, but great access to Cavil and river. Otherwise the unit was cleaned well, front desk staff were lovely and helpful. Booking process and communication good.

Pros: good location. Price is affordable compare to some apartments nearby. If you just need a place to sleep, it is still acceptable choice. Cons: the hotel is a bit of old. Room quality is around 3 star. Paid secured Parking maybe not enough if many quests check in. We have to park outside 1 night after 2200 as the car park is full.

Good location, but building/room are in need of a good touch-up. I felt the place wasn't really that well looked after. Spa was dirty and we decided not to turn it on. Reception, hallways, lifts all in need of some work. Daily rates were expensive and overall I don't think the hotel offers good value for money. Quite noisy overnight with people walking on the road. Acoustic in the room was not that good.

Unfortunately we as a family had a terrible holiday at tiki hotel. The rooms are very outdated, not very clean, falling apart. The pool and spa weren't clean either. It's such a shame tiki hotel is situated in a awesome spot in the gold coast all to be left in a poor upkeep state. On our arrival the lady on the desk doesn't even acknowledge us and was very rude. Personally I believe it needs new management and start fresh.
Clearly has needed repairs for quite some time.
Damaged power switch. I made sure my family doesn't use this switch for safety reasons.
Outdated furniture in need of replacement.
Outdated hair dryer, that doesn't work.

Do not stay here! This hotel is so over priced for what I paid for one night. The mattress on the bed is so old, when I sat on it, it left a permanent dent. Unbelievably noisy as the address states one road but it’s actually on the corner of the Gold Coast highway so impossible to have a window open at night for fresh air. The windows were dirty, mirrors dirty, the place is just old and should be renovated or knocked down. Had very little sleep and just got up very early and left. Surfers paradise is a dump, many nicer places on the GC than this area.
