Novotel Darling Harbour is well positioned, great staff and really comfortable beds. The rooms are tired and in need of refurbishment. The vanity basin was cracked and had been repaired really badly, with the coating applied to cover the crack peeling. Pillows are terribly uncomfortable and out of 8 pillows in the room only one didn't feel like sleeping on a brick. The toilet paper is something you expect in a 1-Star hotel or public toilet. The grab rail in the bathroom is loose which is a safety hazard. The staff were really helpful in providing accessible parking as one of our party is not very mobile. Overall a good experience but the place is in need of attention and it looks like they're cost cutting to increase profits.

Room upgrades are nice. The room was clean and well equiped although had a bit of a smell, sadly there isn’t fresh air that comes in the room so the smell is likely a result of that. All staff were friendly except for the short haired female staff member in the restaurant; very rude and made us feel humiliated when she confronted us about leaving breakfast with 3 strawberries which our 2 year old son was eating/going to continue eating, we understand this might be your policy but your way of saying this and your rudeness is completely unacceptable, we enjoyed our stay until our interaction with you.

The bathroom had a door stop that when the door was closed was kind of in the middle of the floor and my wife fell on this and hurt herself, we reported to reception but it seems to be the design of the bathroom but this is clearly a trip hazard.

We as a Family Loved this Location and great view. So easy to get around and enjoy the City. Shame so much construction around but no fault of the Hotel. Would definitely stay again also loved the Parking being onsite made it so easy with little kids. All over was a Fantastic Weekend away with our little family.
