We loved every minute of our time here! Bullima is perfect for larger families, and has everything you need! The owner was very helpful and Alison and Grant were wonderful when we needed help with a few things! We will definitely be back and we can’t wait! Thank you Doug!

Nature setting top of mountain

Fully equipped large house, a long way to get to but a very nice place with plenty of friendly wildlife.

Pros: Quiet. Privacy.
Location: Drive to Allyn river was good.
Nice setting. It was as if plying a game from receiving the key and finding the cottage but it was fun and we enjoyed. It would be better if all the instruction tags and notes through the house were bigger in writing. It was hard to read. We experienced black-out and incredible thunder lightening but stay was enjoyable.

Sugarloaf lodge Eagleview resort

Pros: Sugarloaf Lodge was very clean andthe beautiful location on the mountain high above the surrounding countryside.
Cons: The stair handrail -no handrail at top of stairs. The ability to turn the spa filter off so you only hear the bush.
Location: Bunna Bunnoo olive farm is worth a visit ,Dungog has a couple of nice cafes, Lostock dam is good for a drive and picnic. The whole area is very scenic.
What a great place! We arrived on a very hot afternoon and opened the door to the lodge (house) to find the cool air conditioner already on and then to look out over the verandah to see a young wallaby and its mum no more than 10 feet away. The place was spotless ,well appointed with CD/radio ,TV/DVD player comfy lounges, full size stove and fridge ,table and chairs on the deck with gas BBQ. There is also a large builtin spa on the deck which is fenced off with a pool fence with some of the best views across the farmland and bush below up toward the Barrington tops. The main bedroom bed is firm but comfy ,the ensuite was clean with towels supplied. The other bathroom also has a washing machine but no clothes dryer. The wallabies and kangaroos dont appear aggresive and just do their own thing and the possums come up onto the verandah at night. The only minor thing is that the stair handrail leading up to the bedrooms finishes two thirds of the way up the stairs leaving no handrail at the very top which some people may find difficult. Unfortunately the spa filter seems to run constantly so you never get complete silence while on the deck. The champagne ,cheese and crackers are a nice touch. We would recommend Sugarloaf Lodge for a relaxing weekend or longer.

Everything you could ask for!

We stayed at Bilyarra for two nights in July with our kids aged 5 and 7. The owners had put the heaters on so when we arrived at 4pm it was nice and toasty inside! The complimentary champers, cheese, fruit, biscuits, bread, wheetbix, jam, vegemite, and milk were appreciated! The rooms and bathrooms were nicely decorated and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped but has no oven, only a stovetop, which wasn't an issue for us, as we used the BBQ to cook our meat and corn, but it should be noted if you're planning to bake anything. The major drawcard however is the living area and outdoors. The kids didnt even ask for the TV the whole weekend! There were toys, games, and lots of kangaroos and bird life to watch out of the floor to ceiling windows that look out over the garden and jacuzzi. Speaking of which, we loved the jacuzzi! So nice to be able to go for a dip on a cold winter's day! The kids loved riding their bikes along the driveway to the house. We made use of the backpack and binoculars provided for walks. The view at the lookout is great. There is also an interesting labyrinth nearby. We also did the Rainforest trail, which is at the beginning of the road to the resort itself. It warned that there are lots of steps, but the kids were ok and it was worth it. It had some interesting rainforest and a bushmans cottage. Overall, a great stay!

Beautiful retreat

This was an absolutely beautiful stay. The house was so well presented and had such a cosy and homely feel. The surroundings were spectacular and the all the activities we had access to were great! The owners were also the most lovely people - willingly to go above and beyond to look after their guests. We will definitely be staying here again and highly recommend the Bilyarra lodge to anyone looking for a romantic secluded getaway
