Terrible rooms and most certainly not worth money

Pros: The staff
Cons: Everything ...except the staff. Wouldn't have enough room to start
Location: Location is good...
The rooms are run down and the pool is cloudy the entire resort is totally run down . We could have stayed at Whitegrass for not much more . You should remove it from your site. The staff were the saving grace they were helpful friendly and very happy. But the rest was extremely poor. We will go back to Tanna . Won't be be staying there, not worth more than 60 dollars a night.

Great place in a great spot, awesome food

Had a very relaxing time here. Very friendly, genuine staff, the beach out the front is interesting (especially if geology is your thing), had great discussions with Hugh, who is putting in an admirable effort developing the lodge with great cooperation with the locals. The food was surprisingly delicious, very professional. The volcano (an excursion which the lodge arranged for us) - my lord, what an experience. The only thing I might say was that dear old Prince needed a wash haha.

This hotel is not good and overrated.

Pros: The staff were lovely and very accommodating. The receptionist booked us into the Volcano tour before we even got there which was really lovely.
Cons: This hotel needs a big maintenance overhaul inside the rooms - if ours was anything to go by.
Location: Mt Yasur Volcano tour is absolutely amazing and I thoroughly recommend getting on it. It cost around $130AUD pp.
I was at the hotel at the start of July 2015 in an Ocean view room. The hotel was badly maintained. In my opinion the rooms were in a worse state of repair than a 1 star back home. The shower didn't work so we had to get that fixed. The toilet barely worked. The shower recess was very dirty and mouldy. The walls had marks over them and needed a good paint. Other rooms had a refrigerator - ours didn't. The fan didn't have a wire front to prevent injury and was very dusty on top. There were no bedside tables or lights, just one room light (without a light fitting). The staff were really lovely though. Food was OK. I appreciate that Cyclone Pam had been through in March but this shouldn't affect the quality of the rooms as they weren't damaged.

Pros: Located on a beautiful tanna black sand beach, meals in the restaurant were well priced simple but good. Free wifi in the bar/restaurant area.
Cons: The lodge is rough around the edges but nevertheless one of the best tanna has to offer. Don't expect resort living that's not what tanna is about
