Romantic Getaway!

My husband and I had a wonderful time in the Hawks Bay Cottage. Very cozy and romantic. The complimentary breakfast was amazing. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Amazing Stay

Amazing everything. From the moment we arrived, we knew we made a great decision, as there was some caramel corn and a snack plate waiting for us in the cabin to greet us. The cabin was top notch, everything was clean and in perfect condition. Lots of hiking and good restaurants within a short drive, and the hot tub was perfect to relax in after a long hike. Fireplace was nice and cozy and the bed was comfortable with great sheets. The wifi was also strong and there was sattelite TV and a blu-ray player with Netflix loaded on it ready for us hooked up to the TV. The breakfast was also great, cooked to order and super tasty. We were able to meet the owner and manager, who were both awesome people and super nice. We could tell they both were doing what they loved. They also encouraged us to get what we wanted, so don't feel bad to order extra sides! My girlfriend and myself agreed this is the best place we've stayed so far in our travels. Book this place, you won't regret it. Oh, and there's a bottomless cookie jar in the common area.

This was a fabulous place to stay. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. They made us feel at home. The room was comfortable and spacious. The views from our porch were spectacular. The breakfast was first rate and the choices were extensive. Complimentary wine and cheese before dinner helped us get to know the other guests. The “sweet dreams” ice cream delivery to each room before bedtime was the icing on the cake. We can’t wait to return next time we are in the area.

We had a very relaxing and pleasant time at Iris Inn. The view of the mountains is beautiful. Iris Inn features wonderful hospitality and luxurious accommodations. My favorite things were the balcony, the wine, and the ice cream!

A great place tucked on the side on the mountain but very convenient to Interstate, Waynesboro, Staunton, Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, wineries, breweries, trails.....it's all close by to enjoy. The Innkeepers/staff were welcoming and friendly and the 5:30 wine/cheese time was fun and a chance to meet fellow travelers. They offer a menu for breakfast, not just a set meal that everyone eats and it was DELICIOUS!! Our room was updated and comfortable, nice touch with oversize shower and mini frig. We look forward to returning and trying out your packages.

Close to perfect, but subpar breakfast

It was a fantastic overall stay. The views and the ambiance of the property were top notch. The staff was fantastic. The one shortcoming was the breakfast. It was a little below average and seemed rushed. Runny omelet and limited beverage options. For the price, I expected more. Overall, would absolutely return. Hopefully the breakfast would be better the second time around.

Beautiful setting and exceptional service.

Wish we were able to stay more than one night. Just passing through on our way back to NY. We will definitely plan a fall foliage trip. Wonderful location, friendly and helpful staff and delicious breakfast. The room was amazing, spacious and incredibly comfortable bed with plush linens. Truly a special place.

The Deer room

We stayed in the Deer room. It was well appointed and very clean. The Inn reps were very gracious and open. The wine tasting in the evening was wonderful. There were only two negatives. The king bed was rather hard and the bathroom was extremely small. Two people in the bathroom would be very tight. Having said that it was a very good overall experience and would stay there again.
