A very comfortable and attractive guest house

We had St Itas to ourselves (mid winter) and enjoyed the warm and comfortable lounge. Our host had the fire lit when we came back after a day out and encouraged us to keep it stoked. Breakfast was good. Our room was comfortable and warm.

Cosy little bed and breakfast

Pros: The comfortable rooms and excellent hostess who is very inviting and prepares a very delicious breakfast to get your day under way.
Cons: Not at all everything was well presented
Location: Only stayed a night but the local pub near the roundabout has good size and tasty pub meals
The room is beautifully presented with excellent facilities to make you feel comfortable. The lounge has great character and is a relaxing environment to wind down before retiring to your own private room. The building and placed looks amazing and history to it's origins make an interesting read.

Great guest house at Rakaia

This beautiful house, previously a local Catholic school, is set in equally beautiful gardens. Sue was an excellent hostess, friendly, efficient and helpful. The breakfasts were substantial and of high quality. It is a convenient location for birdwatchers searching for the special birds of the Canterbury braided rivers.
