Thank you very much

very disappointed

Pros: We thought it had a lovely, inviting house facade but behind it, it was not nice at all.
Cons: cleanliness, renovations/maintenance to the house
Location: Nothing nearby
We arrived from Kalbarri and checked in, the room was ok but the complete building was a ghost house and very dirty and not as nice as shown on wotif. Didn't end up staying at the place and drove further to Perth for the night.

Historic Area

Pros: The people in particular plus the high ceilings and windows . Beautiful wooden staircase to second level. Casual breakfast in a well lit dining area
Cons: Renovations are in hand. Clearly the bathrooms and ensuite have been done.
Location: By staying in Dongara you have more opportunity to roam other nearby areas or to well kept museums or historic areas, the ocean, river or simply relax
A Resort it isn't thankfully. The Priory is a delightful old historic building with attitude in a unique part of WA. Rooms are comfortable with the best showers I've seen for a while and the water was hot. I found the the staff welcoming throughout my 3 day stay, they were really great and receptive to my needs. I recommend the Priory and the surrounds for a relaxing stay.

Stunning old surrounds

Pros: The old world charm and the delightful staff
Location: Situated near the township which has wonderful museums and beautiful clear blue water
We stayed in April for the evening during our travels. The building is history outstanding and is kept in as close to the old tradition as they can. The staff were delightful. They have a wonderful friendly dog (Lolly) who my granddaughter adored and bless the dog she put up with all the cuddles my granddaughter dished out. The pool was lovely and clean and partly shaded. The grounds are fantastic to walk around, sit out in the sun with a book, lay on a towel on the grass Close to the township Couldn't sing their praises louder

Nice old building, with lots of history.

A lot of work is needed with repairs. Appreciate the effort. The inside of the lodging is beautiful. Good luck with it all.

Wotif gave faulse information about the hotel. The king size bed we booked turned out to be only a double bed. And the room is very small.

great character getaway - hospitable locals

Pros: I had low expectations due to 3 stars - but the beds were perfectly firm and comfortable; totally clean room and facilities. I was quite delighted :)
Cons: Maybe kettle in each room???...or not - it was all good.
Location: Great location for beach/fishing etc. Great place to meet with lots of friends and enjoy chilling and the pool.
Lovely historic building with enormously high ceilings and beautiful polished floorboards. Shared bathroom facilities which were very clean. Nice fluffy towels - and separate towels for the pool.

Nice and peaceful

Peaceful and quiet. Wish it was a bit warmer so I could have gone for a swim in the pool.

Lovely old building but needs renovations

Pros: The history of the Priory could be it's biggest selling point but definitely needs owners who will love this old building and save it.
Cons: Too much to list here!
Location: Great location close to the beach at Port Denison and the sweet little town of Dongara.
Such a shame that this historic building is not in good repair. Facilities definitely in need of some tender loving care. Beds were comfy but the lounge should be turfed out and the whole place needs painting inside and out. Bathroom was very poky and had nowhere to put clothes, toiletries, etc. We paid $120 for the night at the Priory Lodge but our next apartment in Kalbarri was modern and very comfy and cost only $115pn. No comparison!
