Excellent Harbour location

Pros: The T.V.is a good size and access to the city and Harbour.
Cons: The Bathroom fixtures need to be replaced. New Carpet would add a huge benefit to the appearance of the place! That number 7 button in the LIft.
Location: The Harbour, City, shops and bus stop to the Airport are all excellently located near to this Hotel
I really liked where this Hotel is at Perth there right on the Harbour Foreshore! Also close to the Bus for travel to the Airport and close to shops and city. The Hotel itself is a bit dated and the lifts are old. The Bathroom was dated with old taps and shower. The room and bed was comfortable enough though and suited me for the 1 night I needed in the Perth City. 1 of the LIfts Floor 7 button was broken and because I was on the 7th Floor I kept having to use the other LIft but you had to send the broken number 7 LIft up or down to then press the Lift again for the working number 7 Lift to arrive! That was only a small glitch in really and Overall Nice and relaxing Hotel experience in the Lovely city of Perth.

City Central location.

Pros: Location
Cons: Condition. Carpet is stretched and wavy so therefore a tripping hazard. Painting needed. Windows are very dirty. Lift button doesn't work.
Location: Close to city centre, swan river and ferry terminal as well as Elizabeth Quay so the location is excellent but the hotel was disappointing.
This Hotel would make a great backpackers. It is in need of a renovation.

The hotel was very disappointing.

Pros: Location, clean bed linen. It could make a good back packers.
Cons: General cleanliness and maintenance.
The windows were filthy, the hot water didn't work, the lift - you had to press up if you wanted to go down. The one redeeming factor was nice clean linen on the beds.

Cheap but not cheerful

Pros: Great location opposite Elizabeth Quay and a short walk into the city and Northbridge. The young lady at check in was personable and efficient.
Cons: Pretty much everything.
Only good thing to say about The New Esplanade Hotel is the location. Our room on the 7th floor had amateurish and nasty 'repairs' to the bathroom tiling and bath surround sealants, uncomfortable and small 'double' mattress (I had to remove a broken bed spring section which was sticking out of the top of the mattress) and a derelict bar/restaurant area in the reception area. Not at all a good example of a budget hotel in Perth.

Nice clean hotel, good location in the city.

Pros: Location
Cons: Some of the fittings are a bit tired.
Location: Good location opposite Elizabeth Quay
The room was spacious, clean, with all the things you needed in it.

Excellent location with views of Betty's Jetty

Pros: Location and price
Cons: Noise cancelling neighbours? Or if unable to rectify the sound proofing perhaps booking every second room during less busy times.
Location: Excellent location opposite the river. Train station across the road.
This hotel is situated opposite Elizabeth Quay and central to the Perth CBD. Its easy to find, walking distances to everything in the CBD, has parking but that's extra - $30 a night for secure parking. The rooms are spacious with everything you need, but as this is an older building the sound proofing isnt as good as it could be. My neighbour ran a bath at 3.00am and I heard everything. Cheers neighbour. Reception is open 24hours for easy check in and out. This is a good hotel at a very decent price.

cheap and nasty but not cheap enough

Dirty bathroom, broken airconditioner, broken lift. Cant believe this place hasn't been shut down by health authorities because if there were a fire you wouldn't be able to get out. Only good thing was the view but windows were dirty. Bed was a miniature double or something.

Would not recommend

I never book hotels with it reading the reviews but for some reason this time I didn't. I'll start with the one good thing And that's the location. Other then that it was probably worse then a hostel, there were stains on the carpet and walls. The mistress was so old and thin a spring actually popped out and cut my partner. The hotel staff were friendly but honestly if you can afford it stay somewhere els the photos do not represent what the hotel looks like very deceiving.

affordable hotel close to city centre

Pros: Easy access. affordable, central position, good- walking to city and transport, eating places all around, car parking Staff friendly, helpful and polite.
Cons: window cleaning so you can see the view, Some easy TLC eg paint touchups replace older fittings. Please tune in basic TV channels such as ABC.
Location: As above. My needs are minimal, but booked here because it is close to central facilities which I might need. Plenty to see in Perth using this base.
Enjoyable stay in Perth. Glad to stay in this hotel as it was affordable for my needs as I visited with my son. I could be independent and happily access many sites from this base as a first-time visitor to Perth. I loved the view from the window. Lots of activity, outlook, lights and it was nice to be close to parks and transport.
