Pros: It's proximity to Skybus and places I needed to visit.
Cons: General cleanliness of apartment - it doesn't seem to be professionally cleaned. Provide individual soap, shampoos etc.
Location: Close to skybus, Coles supermarket, railway station and trams (Spencer Street).
I had a few problems there was no plug for the kitchen sink, no tea towel supplied. The mixer tap came off in the bathroom basin and the water took a long time to drain. There were no bedside lamps in the bedrooms and not very many power points - none in the bathroom and second bedroom and only two in the kitchen. The remote for the air-conditioner was only supplied on the second day of my stay. At times it took a long time to travel from the lobby to the top floor as only 3 lifts were working. I was not impressed by the shampoo and body washed supplied - gigantic family size for everyone to share - yuk! No hand towels, no washers supplied.

Booking cancelled by hotel on day of arrival

Pros: Nothing, never even got to stay.
Cons: everything... customer service is horrid... never even got to the hotel and knew i didn't want to stay.
Location: Melbourne is great. Hotel is useless.
The hotel cancelled my booking by email at 2am on the morning I was due to arrive. When I arrived in Melbourne, at 9am, I tried contacting the hotel to confirm my booking. the 3 local phone numbers listed for the hotel were not long enough, and were not valid phone numbers. They also had a 1800 number listed that just gave the engaged tone every time you tried to call. The team at Wotif assisted with finding me another hotel (thank you!), however, I spent 3 hours of my trip (only an overnight stay) trying to find somewhere to sleep! An hour after checking in to the new hotel, Sunshine Boutique Apartments attempted to call me, but I was unavailable. They then proceeded to text message me constantly throughout the day, begging me to stay with them (even though they had cancelled my booking).... horrible experience...

I am so sorry hear you said you have to been cancelled when you arrived. we had contact expedia to inform over booked .but it is not useful. we can not inform guest in time. apologize for inconvenience. we ought to training my reservation group.
