Great location

Jasper Hotel is in a great location, right opposite Queen Victoria Markets and a tram stop, which allows you to explore the CBD and greater Melbourne with ease. Rooms are comfortable and contemporary, although some minor panelling in the bathroom was peeling off. Rooms include many Foxtel channels which is great when relaxing or winding down for the evening. Overall, Jasper Hotel is great value for money in a fantastic location!

Everything about this hotel was perfect. Nice , clean , comfy king size bed, with black out curtains . Minimal sound for being on a busy street. Breakfest includedi was to die for, you got to pick off the main menu of your choice. Great service and Great staff! Definately will be staying again and recommending this hotel.

Good location

The jasper hotel was a nice place to stay, and in a really easy to access location, with a team stop right out the front. Check in and out was a breeze, and hotel staff were lovely. The only downside was the noise from the QV market being set up early morning, and some building work nearby.

Avoid at all costs

Pros: Location is good.
Cons: Staff and security of people's rooms.
I returned to my room earlier than expected (5:15pm) to find my room wide open. I thought cleaners were still making up room, so I entered to find out how long until finished. The room was empty. Door open but nobody there. My laptop and other electronic devices, along with all my personal items left open to anyone passing by. The cleaner went home at 4pm without finishing my room, and left it wide open and unlocked. Absolutely disgusting security and service. After calling reception, another cleaner brought clean towels and essentials. I received a call from the general manager around 9pm that night. He was not made aware of what actually happened. He said he would follow up and get back to me. 5 days later, still heard nothing. Disgraceful staff security and just as bad was the reaction from other staff when made aware of the problem. I would highly recommend avoiding this motel.

Dear Dave Thanks for taking the time to present your feedback. We regret that the cleaner left your room open and unattended for this we do apologise. As discussed we are relieved all your items were in your room as you left them. I have followed up with the team. Yours Sincerely

Great location but can be noisy, inclusive breakfast was excellent and of good value. 8th floor room, air con very old and didn’t work very well either too cold or too hot. Otherwise staff very welcoming and helpful.

Avoid Jasper at all costs

Pros: Location
Cons: Security. Staff training. Staff professionalism.
Location: Close to Queen Vic Market, cafes, transport and short walk to Carlton, City and train stations.
I returned to my room earlier than expected to find my door wide open. I assumed housekeeping was still in there cleaning (5:15pm). I checked inside to see how much longer until my room was finished and found the room empty with the door WIDE OPEN. With my room still not made up. I called reception to find out that the cleaner had gone home at 4pm. My room had been left open for over an hour by staff. With my business laptop and 2 tablet devices that I required for business meetings the following day, left in the wide open unattended room. Lucky I came back early, as I was planning on being back around 10pm, but plans got changed. The service was extremely unprofessional. Leaving my door wide open to the main hallway, with strangers wandering past. I received no proper explanation. I did get a call from the general manager, who promised to follow up and call me once he dealt with it, but have heard nothing more. Totally unacceptable all round. Disgraceful service and lack of security by staff. Avoid this place at all costs if you value your personal belongings, or expect that your room will be kept locked and safe.
