Perfect location and reasonable price

We received a free upgrade which was amazing! Lovely staff, nice room, comfortable bed, quiet room for the location. Only stayed one night. Foxtel included. Breakfast was average.

Close to facilities/shops

Close to all utilities and shops within near walking distance of the main Centre of Melbourne. Most staff good a couple rude and ignorant. A little disturbed that we never got our wakeup call at 4am could have been detrimental to missing our flight. Staff on duty at time showed little care and were indifferent to the error. Room reasonably clean some minor maintenance required. All in all not too bad.

The Friendly Hotel

Pros: The friendly staff and the breakfast.
Cons: One of the elevator's was under refurbishment.
Location: Close to the Carlton and restaurants & cafes and Queen Victoria Markets.
A conveniently located hotel in Melbourne's CBD and next to the Queen Victoria Markets. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The modern rooms are spacious and clean. There are parts of the hotel that are in the process of refurbishment, but nothing too disruptive.

Comfortable room. Quite a noisy area is the only problem.

Small but funky and great view

Loved the views from this hotel, looking across the Queen Vic Market and beyond. Room was small but so perfectly designed that it felt twice the size. I've stayed at quite a few hotels in this little pocket of Melbourne- this is my favourite so far.

Stayed at Jasper a couple of times. It is an OK hotel, nothing fancy, but decent enough for room rates around the $140 mark. But this time I was pretty annoyed with a number of things. Had requested for our group to be booked into room on separate floors - which was ignored. Front desk staff was rather bored at check, but at least changed the room allocation. Front desk looked chaotic and messy. The room on level 8 was tired, to a degree that it just felt that no one really cares anymore about this property. Worst part was the incredible noise all night, the windows to Elizabeth Street seem to be paper thin. Would not recommend this hotel any longer unless they guarantee you one of the refurbished rooms away from Elizabeth Street.

A Weekend in Melbourne

Pros: The location and the fact that you can open a window in the room.
Cons: The size of the cups for coffee and tea.
Location: Right next door to Queen Vic Markets, and just opposite a tram stop.
The Jasper is in a very convenient location. The rooms are clean and spacious. The lifts were a bit slow as one was out of action. The only 'complaint' I have is that like a lot of hotels/motels the cups in the room are too small. Overall happy with our stay.
