Jasper Hotel was quiet and safe. Really needing up vamp as the carpets are old, paint in the rooms old and linen tired. I asked for a blanket and had to ask again an hour later. An old tired looking blanket arrived. Breakfast I had to wait for an hour and reminded staff of the long wait. Eventually they apologized stating the order had been forgotten. Improvement needed with staff engagement. Felt like an inconvenience!

Lovely stay, with a small glitch
Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Lobby had a lovely smell. Rooms were clean, though some luggage markings. Quiet room for a busy area, very comfortable bed and pillows, I slept well. Wifi was good. the only negative was their room cleaning system broke down in the morning so I had 3 differnet people knocking and entering my door when I just wanted to work until check-out. Luckily I rose early and my sleep wasn't interrupted. I would stay again, assuming that was a temporary glitch

This hotel appears to be a good deal based on photos and the presentation on their website and online booking platforms. I stayed here with my two children, we were initially allocated a room that was not what we booked. Was rectified. However, two of the 4 nights we were up all night due to partying in neighbouring rooms. On the third night there were two men who made their way to our level and assaulted a man and women who ran around screaming for 20 minutes at 1am. This place attracts this type of guest, hotel staff took a long time to respond to my calls to reception to notify police. Numerous guests would have been affected by this including my two children who were traumatised due to the banging, crashing and screaming. Hotel staff did nothing. Do not stay here if you have children. The general area is unclean with unsavoury activity going on at the entrance and there is minimal security. Rooms are dated, carpets torn and just not what the pictures and website reflect. Avoid and look elsewhere. ESPECIALLY if you have children and care about their safety and getting a decent sleep.

Had a great stay for 3 nights at The Jasper. Highly recommend close to Queen Vic Markets and excellent transport with free trams in the city loop. Room was nice and bed comfy. We will be back !

Convenient but busy location, nice room
Located on super busy street, getting a courtyard room is recommended. Room was small but nicely appointed and new. Australian toiletries! We had the VIP amenities from Hotels (free bottle of wine), but had to ask for it (so make sure you do). Only stayed one night, so hard to judge beyond this.

WOW very comfortable bed, quite room and great amenities, loved the free water yet melborune has some of the best water in the world and plastic not so planet friendly. My OMG was the shower it was covered in mould i haven't seen anything like this in years in a hotel except in a 3rd world country, seriously, this needs review and serious cleaning, i was scared to shower in it ! I was close to taking a photo though had to leave so early and busy i didn't have time to manage this. Also the carpet at the bathroom entry was lifting dangerous if those things not there it would have been a great experience room was 612, next to the lift, please go and look and get cleaned this could be a serious health hazard!

Great location for us, 24hr front desk and staff friendly. Bathroom as looking a bit tired with cracked basin and shower tiles and grout discoloured with old mould that is hard to clean off due to age. Bit disappointed that I had to pay for an entire extra night when I feel a partial payment would have been more appropriate as I wanted to keep the room until 8pm due to a late flight, bearing in mind that I came in late my first night.

A nice stay very close to Queen Victoria Markets and public transport. The only downside was, because it's so close to the main roads, there was a lot if traffic noise.
