Location is absolutely gorgeous. Everything was incredible other than the passageway to and from the lift/stairs. Although it wasn’t open, I find it slightly awkward carrying luggage across the bar/dining area. In saying that though i’m assuming this area would be normally closed off for receptions/events. (?) Minor detail which is more of a personal opinion, the stay was lovely.

Were given a room without a fan which resulted in the half view of the sea being obscured for hours. The room rate was for a full Seaview rather than a half which compounded our disappointment. The doof doof from the wedding below our room continued until midnight preventing a restful night’s sleep. Three stars at most. Be warned.

Our beautiful Deluxe Seaview rooms overlook Brighton Beach and the bay with views up to Port Melbourne and the Westgate Bridge, across to the western bayside suburbs with the distinctive granite peaks of the You Yangs in the distance. From your room you can marvel at the activity on Port Phillip Bay – container, cargo and passenger vessels, yachts, fishers and sail boarders. Next visit treat yourself, you will be so pleased!

The noticeable problem on arrival of our Level 2 suite was that half of the suites and hallways of level 2 were being painted so the smell of paint permitted through the whole of level 2. Within our suite room must say the smell of paint was managed by room air con. However, once outside the room the smell was noticeable in hallways and all common areas. Within the room, there were teaspoons for tea/coffee but no other cutlery and plastic tumblers (large and small) for drinking. There was noticeably no air conditioning in the bathroom so there was at all times steam and fogged up mirrors after using he shower.

Shame there isn't a public meeting place to enjoy a drink with a view of the ocean. Although most of the staff were excellent there were signs of complacency in professionalism eg audible disparaging comments about guests in front of others
