Fantastic location in central Launceston with off-street parking provided. Large, comfortable rooms and lovely front desk service. Easy walk to York Park and the CBD. Have stayed multiple times and will stay again

I stayed in a spa suite in The Stables, a building to the rear of the main hotel. The room was spacious & the bathroom sensational. The bed was quite soft - too soft for me, but that's my personal preference. The hotel is obviously trying to keep itself going through COVID restrictions reducing interstate visitors, with staff virtually non-existent and the ground floor of the building looking unused and unavailable, rather than the comfortable, welcoming space it obviously was previously. There was no cleaning service to the room or towel changes during my 4 night stay, which was disappointing from a 4.5 star premises. The room had a lot of traffic noise during the day, but was surprisingly quiet at night. Easy access for walking anywhere I wanted to go. The closest cafes are a few blocks, so a bit of a walk for breakfast or coffee. All in all, I enjoyed my stay & would stay again if I got a similar rate to what I paid.

Nice property. Room was clean and pleasant. No hot water for a shower this morning, which was very disappointing.

I could not access the free wifi as I could find the security key/ password. I rang the number provided for help but this went to voicemail and no one called me back.

The property is run down and drab. Carpet in main building lifting, terrible first impression. Spa room was very disappointing. Old, not very clean, bathroom cracked, dirty grout and mouldy silicone around shower screen. Hair in the spa. Glasses in kitchenette still had lip smudges and finger prints when held up to the light. Certainly not with the $199 per night I paid.
