Cottage by the lake

The cottage was just what we needed. Was perfect for our little family. The living area is not that big if you have alot of people joining you. But theres plenty outdoor space to spend time at. The gazebo has a fireplace and plenty of room. Will stay here again.

The property was amazing and we had a great time!! The kitchen is not quite fully stocked because there were necessities missing, like a can opener and trash bags. Also, watch for spiders (but this should be a given for a cabin in the woods).

Perfect getaway

This was exactly what we were looking for with our trip! The cabin was cozy/clean with a ton of cute personality and amazing views. The fire pit and dock were the perfect hang out spots. It felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves. We were also a little rusty with our boat skills but the company they recommended for rental were also 10/10. The only problem was that we should have booked it for more days. Thank you for the great memories!

Great location, kinda dirty

We loved our stay. The lake is beautiful. The fire pit was awesome. The host was responsive. The dock was great. My kids loved the loft. We loved the privacy and seclusion. It wasn't very clean and the shower curtain smelled. There wasn't enough silverware. The bed in the back room upstairs was uncomfortable (like sleeping in a taco). I moved downstairs which was better. The carpet was kind of disgusting. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

Peaceful retreat

We had an excellent time on Tenmile Lake. Waking up to the central coast mountains and the gorgeous lake makes this location very special. The house was exactly as advertised which is why I gave it 5 stars. It is not a house for hanging out in as there is only a couch in the kitchen as the downstairs is very small. The house needs a bit of attention but we were able to take our dog to this home so it was understandable under the circumstances. We will come again. Great treat.

Amazing location

So peaceful. It felt like we had our own lake. Could only see 1 house around us and it looked to be under renovations, so nobody but us was around for the weekend. Views were awesome and loved the firepit area. The dock was easily our favorite. Lotsa room to jump in and swim around, with a couple of ladders to climb out of the water. Will be staying here again.

Very nice! Be aware this property gets coastal weather.

Comfy beds. Fire pit area is great place to end a day. Nice bathrooms. Kayaks were fun. We caught catfish and baby trout off the dock. Very few boats on the lake. Please note that this property has Coastal weather. I was expecting warm temps in July, but we never went above 72 degrees. Overcast most of our week.

Lovely location but house could use some care

The location was beautiful and a great place to fish and enjoy nature. However, there were quite a few negatives about the rental. - carpets were dirty Upstairs bathtub was dirty - Pipe under right side of kitchen sink was not connected- leaked water under sink - we repaired - Kitchen not well supplied with enough silverware, pots, pans - can opener didn’t work Outside automatic light shut off too quickly and often did not turn on - no light bulb in the third floor fixture - many light switches were not connected to anything

Family fishing vacation

This was an amazing trip!! The fishing was excellent! The lake is beautiful. The whole family had a great time. Loved touring the sand dunes, beach, and coast line. Could have been a little cleaner, but nothing gross or unlivable. Would defy do it again.

Amazing location!

My husband, daughter, father in law, dog and I had a great 4 days on Tenmile. The location of this house is a dream. Super private and overall quiet arm of Tenmile Lake. The outdoor living spaces (deck, dock and huge fire pit) really won us over. We had perfect weather the whole time we were there. Were even blessed with clear skies so we could star gaze from the dock. We rented a pontoon boat from Ringo’s but also brought our paddle boards and used the couple kayaks the house provided. Although the listing / pictures show the house accurately, it is interesting that this house doesn’t have any interior living room. The kitchen is nice and we used it a lot. We never tried to eat at the small dining room table tucked against a wall inside. And only my daughter tried the couch out which felt odd to have in the middle of the kitchen / dining room. Luckily, the weather was nice to be outdoors so we didn’t have to worry but if it was raining, it wouldn’t have been a good house to be indoors at for long periods of time. The listing states 4 bedrooms but it’s really 3 bedrooms and a sleeping loft that’s only accessible via a steep ladder. We didn’t use the loft as one of our family members couldn’t go at the last minute but probably wouldn’t have wanted anyone to have to go up and down the ladder in the middle of the night. Also, when we noticed the train tracks across the lake from the house, we were concerned about possible noise in the middle of the night but it turned out to not be an issue at all. We only saw the very short train 3 times while we were there and it was at either 7 or 8 in the morning or evening and fairly quiet overall. Having lived in the PNW our whole lives and never known about Tenmile, we were excited to discover and look forward to going back again!!

Perfect Summer Getaway

We were looking forward to our summer vacation for months! The cottage on the lake was everything we hoped for. We hope to visit again. The children fished swam and played from morning till evening! The fire pit area was so beautiful and added such a dimension to our stay. The owners did a great job making our stay comfortable!

Charming Cottage & Fabulous Location!

We visited to celebrate a milestone birthday and had a fantastic time! The cottage is nestled on one of the quieter arms of the lake and has a great dock and great fire pit! There is a cabin directly next door which was empty for our visit so things felt very private while we were there. Everything was sparkly clean and in good repair. The deck (amazing views) is very nicely done and completely dog/child friendly with excellent containment! The kitchen was nicely stocked with newer appliances, etc. The bedrooms were decently comfortable and linens were fine. The only drawback to note is that the living area is fairly small. Kind of an open floor plan of kitchen, dining, living room all combined in a very small space. Overall a lovely little cabin!
