The manager of the motel was not very helpful or cheerful. We had booked a room with a queen and single bed but when we booked in he tried to give me a room with just a queen. Eventually he said that he supposed he will have to give me room 3. Not very inviting at all.

Unfortunately the manager tried to upgrade you to what he considered a better room with a kitchenette. We have quite a few people book a room with a queen and a single but only want a queen bed. On this occasion you didn't want the upgrade.

This property should not be on your site. It’s awful! So dirty, benches not wiped down, mould in the shower, filthy fridge with mould on the seals. The guy running the place is also so rude & obviously has never heard of customer service. Worst place I have ever stayed.

I will need to speak to the linen company that supplies our linen. We have never had anyone else complain about the smell of our linen. We do get some mosquitoes. Our windows are all screened but the door is not. If the door is left open at dusk mosquitoes can get in. The owners are planning to upgrade the rooms in the new year.

High priced budget motel

As I walk up to the reception area I see weeds, overgrown bushes and an unkept landscape. I slide the glass door and step into the past and another unkept area, with a buzzer making my attendance noticed, a man who is dirty, unshaven, unkept clothes slurs to what I want. I share, I made a booking, when he exclaims, I say, about a month ago, under his breath he murmurs, she must of booked it in and drops a key on the bench top and says, it is down the end. At this point, my insides are telling me to turn and walk out, and take a loss and find another motel, I did not, everyone deserves a chance. I walk to unit 12, open the door and am hit by a pungent smell of cleaning product, stale air and dirty carpet, I continue with that chance, unfortunately on entering the bathroom area the camera came out. The motel was built in the 1950’s and it is still in that time, mind a couple of changes, a flat screen tv, laminate surface bench and coloured bed cloth, however, the rest was stuck in time. The unfortunate part was dirty carpets, dirty curtains, dirty windows, mouldy in silicone where they have tried to join shower floor to wall, one window that opens to all breeze in (which fronts the main road, with trucks using air brakes as they approach the 60km speed zone. The room is old and outdated, the bed is hard much like the personality of the man in reception and the foundations have given way to cracks appearing in walls and cornices. This hotel needs a lot of repairs.

I know that we are not used to such rude behavior. We tried to explain that the motel was currently being renovated but he was not prepared to listen. I don't know who he spoke to in reception but there is no one here who fits that description.

It is a shame that you didn't notify us about the lack of hot water. If the water pressure drops it can trip the power. It is a simple matter to turn the power off and back on to restore the hot water.

Place needs work but is comfortable

Staff are really friendly and the place is good for a quick overnight stay at short notice but it is starting to need a bit of work as it is looking old and worn.
