Rural escape

Family oriented and welcoming. This hotel is located in a rural setting. It was so friendly and welcoming by the staff. They went out of their way to help us with charging our car (difficult with setting up the app). The beer garden was actually in a garden with a play structure and nice shaded trees. It closed around 9 pm. The food was delicious. Best gulash my husband has ever had. The breakfast was also very good.

Comfy hotel property great for families

Nice property inside and out. Very friendly staff and great breakfast. Only complaint is didn’t seem like the cleaning staff was 100% thorough. Paper cup under couch and a bag with moldy bread. Despite that, would def return!

Nice hotel in idyllic setting

Hotel Lindenhof is very nice, with its Bavarian style and Old World feel. Located in the middle of woods and fields, it's surprising how easy it is to get to Nuremburg from the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was a good size. A better reading light would be a nice addition. The bathroom was a bit small, but totally adequate. Breakfast included bread, bacon, eggs, yogurt, etc.; but do go early for best selection. The restaurant on-site is excellent for dinner. I would like to stay at the hotel again, but next time I will probably ask for a room away from the courtyard where many restaurant diners sit. They were a little too close!

Once Very Grand...

I can see how lovely this hotel used to be, but it has seen better days. Upon check-in, my room was littered with dead bugs. The electric turns completely off at the door, so even the fridge had been off for sometime. Beer bottles grew mildew inside the closed door and the smell was very unpleasant. Wifi is terrible. I sat near the front desk to work and only could capture just enough to check and send emails. Breakfast was good. Dinner was awful, mostly because I don't eat any pork and made this perfectly clear in English and in German. I ordered a garden salad with grilled turkey, ate several bites and then tasted it. It was peppered with bacon and there was no picking it out. I was quite upset about this, because of course I didn't realize it until the pork was in my mouth. I sent the salad back but still had to pay for it! Shocking. So, I won't stay here again.

WiFi was poor for business users not ideal. Fantastic food from local farmers. Whilst the hotel is a little dated, it still offers a large pool sauna and complete quiet in its location. Recommended

...for this hotel category and price I would expect better furnishing and equipment in the room. Some equipment was broken or not functioning properly which was definitely not **** category. Nevertheless: Great location and friendly staf.
