Very central

Lovely friendly people, rooms can be basic but clean, air con is extra but you need to have it. Little man made beach with about 10 sun beds, small pool but most just go to the jetty and get into the sea. Not sure if this hotel will be their next year as it has been sold. I would go back if the same staff was there. Lovely little place, thank you for looking after me and my family.

Wonderful and friendly place!

Friendly and cosy stay. Costa and Stella were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were cosy and comfortable. The hotel had a pool and a pub/restaurant Drunken Duck.

We loved our stay at Matamy beach hotel our room was large and comfy Yanni the cleaning lady was lovely ans Kostas was really nice small problem with the pool was cold and a little small for me but i,m sure its ok for some people We were right in the center of town which was great there was a little train that went to Malia a town not so far away which if you are ahtletic you could walk to

Relaxing away from it all at home...

The whole experience was enjoyable, amazingly easy to book and very smoothly run. I would recommend this Hotel to all my friends and family and advise them to book through Expedia.

Very nice Appartments close to beach.

The Appartments are in a central part of Stalis on main beach road. There is a great Greek Restaurant "CRETA" next door. Lots to do and a lovely family resort.

Not a good hôtel

We stayed at Matamy hotel and we don't recommend it. First, there is no security, the room are directly in the streets so anyone can access the hotel and the rooms without any problem. Our room was facing the street therefore it is very noisy even more because it was in August and we could hear all the noise outside (people, cars,quads, scooters). The pool is very small and not in the sun in the morning. It is impossible to swim or to enjoy it when there are more than two people in it. There is no beach in front, you need to walk a few meters to have a beach with sand and pay 7€ for two sunbeds and a parasol and be very close to other sunbeds. The bedrooms are very badly layed out and unconfortable, the bathrooms are tinny we cannot be 2 in it. There is no double beds. The cleaner comes every day but just to clean the floor. If you leave your room after 10am, she says that she doesn't have time and therefore we didn't have Our room cleaned for 4 days. The owners are very kind but not fiendly at all, they just want business. I would really recommend to look around as there are very nice hotels around for more or less the same price.

Fantastisk ferie på Matamy Beach Hotel

Vi har haft en helt fantastisk ferie på dette hotel. Kan kun varmt anbefale det til andre. Ikke så stort, rigtig hyggeligt og med den sødeste familie til at stå for det. Beliggenheden var for vores vedkommende helt i top. Det vil helt klart være et hotel, jeg vil bo på igen, hvis jeg skulle til den del af Kreta en anden gang.

Hotel semplice ma pulito e confortevole, proprietari carinissimi e disponibili , molto simpatici.Situato in zona piena di vita dove nn manca nulla ,lo consiglierei a tutte le età, unica pecca devi sapere molto bene l'inglese nn c,erano italiani...ma ce la siamo cavata bene anche se il mio inglese è so and so...
