Comfortable clean 2BR apt, perfect location, NO ON-SITE PARKING
We stayed from 14 June 2023 - 25 June 2023 (11 days). This was a great small apartment with a nice coffeemaker, comfortable bed, dishes and utensils, clean towels and sheets and a small functional bathroom. The location is absolutely perfect - just 2 blocks from a great bakery and the post office, 3 blocks from the tourist office (Mairie), and 3 blocks from the beach. Communication with the host was quick and easy. She was very responsive.
We loved our stay except for one very important, completely wrong, and ultimately, very expensive statement on the VRBO property description (quoted here verbatim): "Etretat Beach and Le Clos Lupin are just a short walk away, so leave your car at the property, which offers onsite parking." Under "Amenities" the VRBO property also lists "Parking," which is wrong. The house DOES NOT HAVE ONSITE PARKING, and parking in Etretat is incredibly expensive with free parking in an unlit grass field a very inconvenient 20-minute walk from the apartment. The red zone parking near the apartment is convenient, but very expensive - approximately €2 per hour (€20/day) between 9:00 and 19:00. The orange zone parking where we parked is about a 10-minute walk. We paid €50 per week to park in the orange.
Aside from the bad parking information on the VRBO site, which cost us an extra €100 during our stay and numerous long inconvenient walks, we enjoyed the apartment very much.
