stayed in a garden cottage, old and dated, in need of a Reno however great location on beach. breakfast was adequate , all staff was friendly and helpful , overall for the budget very good.

Very competitive rates at Grand Bali Beach. Lovely big bedroom, though bathroom rather dated but adequate. Room cleaned every day which not always evident in a 5star hotel in Legian which we used to frequent. We particularly enjoyed breakfasting outdoors where staff were most attentive - lovely relaxing ambiance. We return to Grand Bali Beach annually and consider it our second home.

Mould in bathrooms, Toilets does not flush properly, Breakfast was ordinary very poor selection ,No service at breakfast should have people walking around doing tea and coffee at the table

One Star Hotel Close to a Public Beach.

Pros: Nothing No Security Disclaimer of the Beach being a Public Beach so the hotel is not responsible for anything connected. Beach Paths Dangerous
Cons: A Complete Refurbish of the Entire hotel. This is NOT a 4 Star Hotel. Photos only taken at night around few decent areas.
Location: 3/4 of an hour from the airport. Only water sports. Surf Dangerous. Not for Kids. Outside traffic very busy.
On arrival at the 'Garden Room' block there were a smell of Sewerage right through the units. I noticed the doors to maintain the service water and sewerage pipes were in a state of disrepair and not lagged. On entering our 'Room' the entrance tiles on the floor were stained, the door itself was in need of paint. The view was of a wall 3 metres away. The bed was like concrete. Bathroom was Disgusting, Long black hairs in and on the sink and bath, the paint work was painted over mould and old paint, mould on the 'Shower' walls, the water was never hot just warm, the Toilet seat was disgusting as was the rear connecting pipe and flush control, which failed on the second day, could not flush the toilet that morning. I asked reception for a better room, and next day was given the same sort of room in another block with all the same faults, with just a view of the road. Comfort to sit in the room Zero just old wooden chairs. Only TWO dinning places on the beach for dinner, one completely open to all elements, and a poor menu, ribs underdone in a hot sauce to kill the taste, under cooked Lamb Chops, And Pizzas. The 'Seafood 'Ristorante' had very little choice the first thing I asked for I was told "Sorry Stove Not Working" left very little choice after that, had to ask what was left, I got burger & Chips. Good Duo for entertaining Saturday night Keyboard Great The KOPI SHOP was only open for breakfast, The Buffet menu,cereal & Egg on Toast, Mainly caters for other taste. .

Dissapointing

Pros: Location as beachfront. The pool area was great. The housekeeping staff and the pool towel man were all extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room service. The cleanliness. The maintenance. Reception staff manners.Reduce the 21% tax on food/drink we ate outside as cheaper.
Location: Location is beachfront with free beach chairs and towels, there are water sports/markets etc close in both directions
Had to move room after first night as air-con not working and omitted a terrible mouldy odour (this did not seem to concern reception) It was a difficult process to obtain a safe to be put in our room Called housekeeping on 2 occasions as they forgot coffee, called housekeeping on 5 occasions for toilet paper Ordered room service and had to wait 1 hour and 10 mins. so did not do that again !, Balcony door was left unlocked several times and open once, good job we were on the second floor. Main door latch was broken, notified housekeeping but was not fixed. Bathroom was extremely dirty and mouldy. When booked had to pay $65.00 per person ( said it was directed to the said Hotel) we asked the Hotel what this extra fee was for and they had no idea and to take it up with our booking company, this is a lot of money for what ?? The reception staff could do with some customer service.

A very tired hotel close to beach.Needs restoratio

Pros: The 1688 bar saved the day. Wonderful food and the staff were excellent. The tour shop in the Hotel had very helpful staff.
Cons: Remove the current Hotel management. Spend money on upgrading it
Location: Location OK and the restaurants along the beach were fine and the food good.
Arranged pick up from Airport.Confirmed by email from their office and nobody turned up to get us. Room clean and tidy.However we had to block all outlets in the bathroom to reduce the sewage smell when not in use. Toilet was difficult to flush. Spent lots of time staring at our own bowel movements before they went down. Our friends had the same issue. Think the septic system is stuffed. Airconditioner was leaking water in the room. Rang service. A guy turns up, wipes up the water and walks out. LOL! Didnt fix the problem. My wife and I were the lucky ones. Our friends staying there in other villas all had horror stories. One couple was shown 3 rooms before they accepted one. Blood stained bed sheets, sweat stains on others. Uncleaned rooms. Bathroom filth. Ripped off 300,000 Rp for minibar when the items actually belonged to the guest.
