DO NOT STAY HERE! Firstly please be aware that this is a weird set up. The ‘hotel’ is actually Oaks Elan, and Signatures on Woods is on the 13th floor. You are told not to talk the the reception at the Oaks, the ‘reception’ is virtual. We had a family group staying, with a total of 4 rooms, all of the rooms had problems. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 adults and 2 children. The room only had 2 double beds. Not the best of my teenage children. The fridge was not working, despite repeated emails and phone calls, it was not until day 9 of our 10 day stay that someone even came to look at the fridge. I suggested it would be reasonable to either move us to another room, bring in a portable fridge or even an esky and ice. I was told by the management that there was nothing they could do and that the fridge was being replaced after our stay was finished. The manager put in writing twice that he would reimburse the cost of the food that was spoilt, then revoked the offer. Also the BBQ didn’t work, it was removed but not replaced, and the air conditioner leaked like a tap, management’s response was to put a towel on the floor (l filled a bucket overnight). Such poor service. Incredibly disappointing as Darwin is a beautiful please with wonderful people.

Nice apartment with great views and location

Apartment is in great location in cbd can walk to most of the attractions in the area. it is self contained so has all the comforts of home (washing machine dryer fridge etc). Would definately recommend

Would stay here again...

Good location, close to Smith street mall. 10 minute walk to Waterfront. Room neat and clean with good views. Check in quick and easy. Good communication. Would stay here again.

Disappointing

Pros: Nicely appointed appartment
Cons: Need to meet your guests.
Location: Short walk to Mitchell street and other activities in Darwin
As per email - a representative from the hotel was supposed to meet us but instead they sent instructions on how to retrieve our own key from a locked letterbox.( this was quite confusing) As we entered our apartment dried dirty water stains were seen near the verandah door and a towel was on the floor - it appeared that the above air-conditioner had been leaking and it had been left in this condition. The air-conditioning tripped the circuit during the first night and it was promptly sorted during the day after a phone call to the hotel management.

Great location and facilities

Pros: The restaurant; the room; quiet location; comfortable bed; great view over the harbour.
Cons: The only hassle is that you can't talk to the hotel staff to fix any problems with your room. But the contact people fix any problems quickly
Location: Location is great. Very quiet because it is not in the heart of Darwin and has a great view over the wharf. The restaurant is excellent
This was a great place to stay. It's an apartment run by a separate company so they don't have anything to do with the Hotel as such, apart from be in the building and use their facilities. It can be a problem if something goes wrong with your room as you can't talk to the Hotel staff about it; you have to call the agent. Aside from a hassle with the door key on my second day there, which was fixed quickly, the stay was fantastic. Room was great and the restaurant was excellent. But you also have a kitchen in your room if you want to cook for yourself. I'd thoroughly recommend this location and will be staying there on my next visit to Darwin.

MODERN HOTEL WITH GREAT VIEWS

Pros: The room was fantastic
Cons: Maybe a TV in the bedroom
Location: Location is close by to several good restaurants, massage, city centre & ocean.
I have stayed in many Darwin hotels over the past few years & this is by far the best room so far. The apartment is very modern with great ocean & city views from the balcony. There is airconditioning & ceiling fans to keep you cool.Bed was very comfy. Kitchen & laundry facilities in the room are great. Undercover free secure car parking as well. The location is very central & within walking distance to several close by restaurants & only a couple of blocks from Mitchell St. I will certainly stay here again on my next visit!

Great to start disappointing finish

Great location and great apartment. Stayed one extra night and they forgot to leave our room keys so this soured the experience.
