My stay at Menso was terrible. No room service had to use the same towels for the whole long weekend because there was hardly anyone on-site most of the time. Rang reception numerous times no answer, rang the last day before we checked out because we were sick of using the same towels and a lady answered who apologised when I told her we needed towels and then advised me she hadn’t been feeling well hence why room service was not done and directed me to the basement to go fetch my own towels to avoiding waiting for her for another hour note we called her at 9 check out was 10. We checked out on the Monday I called her Tuesday to aske where our bond was she instructed me that it takes 4 to 5 days and that’s how everyone does it her attitude was appalling. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to a homeless person u get better service at a homeless shelter then this place!!!!!!

property on website looked great but when we arrived the views that were pictured on wotif were no true. we booked out 3 hours after we arrived. would advise that if you book this property make sure its refundable as we forfited our $400 plus

The customer service was shocking - I was locked out as the cards stopped working on 4 seperate occasions and when querying this I was told that it was because I kept extending the booking, not to mention I was told on the last day that I had to get new cards for every extension which is not my responsibility and nor did the staff do this. One staff member neglected to enter my details and of the 6 billings they only had records of 2 and the security bond which still has not been paid back was also not recorded. None of the staff communicate so each staff member is unaware of the clients history as records were not being entered. The front desk member after blaming me for the denied building access from card failures and then suggesting that each extension required card renewals (discussed on the last day) in a rude and aggrogant manner lacking customer service ability and not been able to see how this could be infuriating to anyone. As the details were not entered by the same individual who was blaming me for the other issues, one particular day where I was extending was the same day that it was suggested that I hadn't paid as there was no record of payment. The same day that when I went to the roof top could not access my floor at 2.00 pm on the afternoon and when going to the reception the staff had gone home for the day so I waited for the cleaner at the carpark who had to contact the other cleaner to let me in as she didnot have an access card. I canceled my last day!

Every hotel has similar card systems. They expire at 10am which is check out times. If you extend you have to come down before 10am to get the cards recut. Obviously you have not travelled before.

The room was nicely presented, renovations that were undertaken not too long ago look amazing, the pool area and BBQ area provide beautiful views

The rooms are very small, the photos make them look bigger - in the one bedroom, there is only a small table to sit at, there is no room for a couch, and the bathroom has a glass door, no privacy!! Communicating wasn’t easy, there were a few little things that didn’t work or were broken, and even though we notified them at the beginning of our stay, they were not fixed. The location is ok - not right on Southbank but an easy walk to get there. However, the rooftop pool is amazing - a fantastic view, perfect water temp and super comfortable sun lounges!! This alone made up for the other little issues we had. I would say good for a short stay to relax at the pool, but not great for too long!
