Wedding Weekend in Elijay

Attending a wedding at The Falls at Blue Ridge. Cabin was in a great location. Close to the wedding venue and to downtown Elijay. It was delightful sitting on the back porch and listening to the birds in the morning.

Worst experience ever

1sr we got in very late so we called to find out where the gare code was located. It was pitch black and no lighting. The person on the other end was super rude. Told me had i been there at 4pm like i was supposed to i wouldn't have this problem, what? Then we finally find it and get t9 the property of which the driveway was washed completely out. Thankfully we had a 4x4. Then the unlock code wouldn't work at all so we called again. They then gave us a code for a lock box located on the wall. Then the door lock was broken an d didn't want to work. Took me 15 minutes at 1am to finally get in. Now the floors are warped and buckled and the property is leaning! Yes leaning! The property wast equipped properly at all in comparison to properties we have styed in the past. We always using this type for our cactiins or stays. Never a hotel. The beds were the most uncomfortable ever. Owe yeah forget trying to get down to the lake. The deck is cover in slime and mold and completely overgrown with bushes and trees. The property has giant crack in it from it leaning. Looks like the tried to cover it all up with 1/2 inch thick sheetrock mud caked up on those areas. Oh yeah back to the broken lock, they were getting fixed uh no. Also the pool we couldn't use it became they didn't have us an access key to the pool. At the end this property is loaded with junk fees that more than double the "nightly" rate. No adjustments were made to our stay for the many inconveniences and frustrations

This place was dirty and dated. The outdoor space was nice. The place had bed bugs as well so do not recommend this place! We got out of there quickly.

Needs help!

House had only one half of roll of toilet paper when we arrived. There was very little water pressure and no hot water. If you turned the washing machine on the water in the rest of the house quit working. Downstairs TV did not work. Property needs landscaping and a new set of stairs going to the pond.

Loved the private lake

This is a townhouse with just a few units sharing a private lake. Maybe grandson was thrilled to catch some small bass. My son in law caught a good size catfish. All went back in the lake. My only complaint is that the stairs going to to upstairs bedrooms have small treads. We had to take care not to slip going down.

House had bad smell. Carpet, cabinets with utencils dirty, all the towels and bedsheets had stains, hairs, the beds and dirt. The fans and vents had lots dust. Stairs are missing some railing making it very dangerous. The carpet and fans from screen porch also filthy. Not happy at all

Nasty/Dirty townhouse

Got to the place dirty cocorouches on floor. Had to wash all sheets clean the bathrooms. Wash door handles. Than water went out. They send a cleaning person to clean and all she did was vacuum 2 rugs. Place has never been dusted. The stairs to pond terrible slippery and damaged. Stairs to upper level too steep kids fell few times. Carpet is black and dirty. Never again. Do not rent.

Great family getaway spot

My husband wanted a weekend of fishing and hanging with family friends; it was perfect. The place was exactly what is shown in the pics, super clean and spacious for our party of 7. We would definitely stay again.

Absolutely wonderful experience!

Let's start with how kind the people of Ellijay are! Everywhere we went, the people were caring and thoughtful! Finding the townhouse was so easy. Very quite location. Upon entering it was impeccably clean an not over scented like some. It's well lit with natural light a well as strategic lighting. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Very clean kitchen and bathrooms. Tiny complaint is that it could have use a few more kitchen towels but we were given plenty of bath linens that smelled great. Comfortable furniture and beds. Advice: make sure the French door upstairs is really closed or the suction of opening the kitchen door can open it, and when you want to take a hot shower, ignore the directions and just barely turn it on/up. The screened porch is amazing! Cozy does not described our stay. All in all, I'd go back every weekend if it wasn't 500 miles away! Love, love, loved my stay! I was homesick for it the minute we drove away.

Lovely home! We were so thrilled to find a cabin allowing dogs over 20lbs.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean, well furnished, and dog friendly! It's hard to find a place that allows dogs over 20lbs but this cabin did! We enjoyed homeschooling out on the balcony overlooking the pond and watched deer on several occasions. We wished we could have stayed longer. The only thing I would caution on is if you have very small children, or you are elderly to carefully consider that the inside stairs are extremely steep that lead to the upstairs bedrooms/bathroom. For us it was perfect as my kids are older and my husband and I are only middle aged lol.

Nice, but slightly 'tired' condo in a good location

This is a cute condo in a nice location and a decent value. Pros: --Clean inside --Lovely big screened porch overlooking a small pond --3 roomy bedrooms --Fully-stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes, pans and glassware --Plenty of bath linens --Comfortable furniture --(most) Beds are very comfortable --Easy, convenient parking. You can practically back-up right to the front door, which makes loading/unloading almost effortless Cons: --Bathrooms are a bit dated and impossible to get a hot shower. The upstairs shower we could get warm, but the downstairs was just cold --Strong 'dog' smell (not entirely unexpected as they allow dogs), a few strong candles or 'plug-ins' would help a lot --Full size bed on 2nd floor has a big dip in the middle, but not extremely uncomfortable for one person --Dishwasher is pretty useless, had to re-wash all dishes by hand. Dish towels are needed, though --Decor was overwhelming and just too much; lots of clutter which takes away usable space --exterior can use some TLC; lots of ?bird droppings? around the front door, gutters falling off in back The rental company was very friendly and easy to work with, and we especially appreciated being able to check in early. All in all, I would recommend the property with all the caveats above and would consider returning, particularly if the shower issues are resolved.

Was not good house keeping!!

It was not clean we had rat droppings on the bed sheets on the floors and on the towels. We had to wash before feeling comfortable enough to stay. Over all house keeping was dirty. Had stuff all in the draws where spoons and stuff was. The view and the town was wonderful. Just not the house keeping!!! Should get a discount!!
