Room was clean and tidy. However, I booked and paid for a 2 bedroom cabin for 2 people but only one bed was made when we arrived. I had to pay extra for more bed linen which hadn’t arrived by the time we left the cabin for the afternoon. When we got back late that night the linen was there but the bed hadn’t been made and there was only a light blanket and a single sheet. The weather was cold so luckily there was a spare blanket in the cupboard but it was still too cold over night and I had to put in extra clothes to stay warm.

The so called standard cabin was in poor repair - not able to lock screen door as no key and hole in wire. Inside it was dirty and there were black spiders, one which landed on myself. The sofa was unusable and the sewerage pipe ran under the cabin, making loud noises. When advised re spiders the manager agreed to an upgrade to a "deluxe cabin" which was indeed clean and more spacious.

The standard cabin booked was unclean and had spiders inside. The sofa unusable, but the manager was prepared to upgrade to a deluxe cabin which was both clean and larger.

Very friendly atmosphere on arrival, Instantly felt welcomed. Was out all day and came back to the heater being put on for me. Very thoughtful as it was about 3 degrees outside.These are the little things that make a stay memorable.

Caravan Park close to Bendigo
The Unit in the Caravan Park is close to Bendigo, has a supermarket nearby and a cafe next door whose food is good. The nearby old Calder Highway is busy during the day but quieter at night.

i stayed there for 2 nights the cabin was very good on the second night i had my 2 grandsons stay they love the pool and the play ground. the young lady in the office was very help full.

An over night stop.
We needed somewhere to stay fit a family event. No great distance from the hwy. Clean, quiet and warm for a very cold day. No hesitation in recommending Avondel caravan park if you need a place to stay while traveling

Conveniantly situated close enough to Bendigo. The room size and kithchen essentials in our cabin were adequate, The double bed was shorter than the average bed andthe mattress is very hard. Very reasonably priced especially for a family with children, or 2 couples, but perhaps pricey for a single and a couple. The Cafe next door is very conveniant for "light" meals ( a huge hamburger with the lot @7-50 was wonderful). It was like stepping back into the distant past when one got value for a dollar. Nice swimming Pool and large grounds.

A home away from home
The family cabin that we stayed in at Avondel Caravan Park was very comfortable, clean and fresh. The amenities were appreciated. My siblings and husband stayed two nights, arriving from interstate to take part in our cousin's funeral. Our stay in the peaceful setting, which is Avondel Caravan Park, was "just what the doctor ordered". It was a home away from home (but much cleaner and neater. :) The owners were very nice.. with lovely smiles. We would stay there again if we got to go on a tourist's holiday.

Terrible experience and over priced
Had to make own bed, cabin smelt, over priced and noisy on a main road. Management we're rude and everything was an effort. Forgot to give us linen and towels and had to ask a number of times to receive. Asked for a refund so we could find better accommodation but was refused.

Good clean comfortable .
Stayed one night in a deluxe cabin , a bit out of town but the cabin is roomy and comfortable . Owners were friendly and helpful . Highway noise at night was annoying. Overall it was good and not expensive .
