First time staying here, we were there for 2 nights. Reception staff were lovely, really friendly every time we spoke to them and even had a laugh on the phone. Proper nice vibe.
Breakfast staff felt a bit abrupt though, like you were being rushed while eating which wasn’t great.
The room itself was beautiful, at the top floor. That said, the stairs nearly finished me off and the blast of heat from the radiators… I almost joined the ghosts up there. Speaking of which, the place definitely has a bit of a spooky feel.
The courtyard was stunning, really peaceful, and room service was great, super friendly again. Only weird thing was we had to prop the window open with a bottle.
Overall, really nice stay with a few quirks… and yeah, a couple of spooky things did happen 👀 also I think the staff got sick of me asking about dessert of the day and being disappointed it was lemon tart!
