WINTER ACTIVITIES:
The Snowmass/Aspen area has some of the finest skiing in the world. We have over 3,000 acres of uncrowded ski runs and every kind of terrain.
Do you want to learn to ski or snowboard, or hone your skills? Lessons are available for all levels of skiing and snowboarding. There are even classes specifically for women and adults over fifty. Your children can get the same exceptional level of instruction; there are childcare, ski school, and snowboarding programs for children from six weeks to teenagers.
Exciting festivals go on all through the winter season, including Christmas events, the Wintersköl celebration, Banana Season, and a traditional Mardi Gras Celebration.
Cultural activities include the Aspen Ballet's winter schedule of dance performances, Aspen Filmfest's Shortsfest, the U.S. Comedy Festival, and the Aspen Music Festival's Winter Music Series.
