In Mira, not far from Venice, is Villa Margherita, located on perhaps the most scenic bend of the River Brenta, which mirrors the most beautiful Villas that Palladio created for the nobles families of the Serenissima Republic. The approach to Villa Margherita is along a romantic lime avenue with several antique statues. During the 17th century the Villa housed the guest rooms of the noble Venetian Contarini family and is today considered an example of a Veneto “house”, in which simplicity and elegance are at the service of its patrons.
