The villa is situated in the cool Bali highlands just ten minutes from Ubud-the cultural centre of Bali. Designed by Balinese architect Ida Bagus Wiadnyana according to ancient traditions, with the correct alignments toward the holy mountain, the villa overlooks the sacred Petanu River and lush tropical gorges. Traditional materials are used throughout to harmonise with the environment-alang alang thatched roofing, hand-made terracotta floor tiles, stone and marble all crafted by local artists. The house is cooled by fans and natural cross-breezes over water gardens.

Take an early morning walk through the village and rice fields and view magnificent Mt. Agung looming in the distance. Take the path down to the river and swim, or just sit under the waterfall. Watch the local tribe of monkeys play in the trees or observe the many rare bird species. We can also arrange tours to areas of interest further afield and can organise activities such as volcano climbing, white -water rafting, diving & snorkelling, cycling, trekking, traditional cooking classes, yoga, meditation, herb walks,traditional music and dance performances, jewellery making & batik classes and visits to traditional healers.
