Our London hotels will have you staying in the heart of the action, and close to famous historic sites such as Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament and the Tower of London. Jump on a red bus, into a black taxi or let your feet take you walking as you explore this historic city. Of course, a trip to London isn’t complete without trying gastronomic delights at some of the world’s best restaurants. London is a shopper’s delight, with Oxford Street, Regent Street and Brompton Road all offering fantastic opportunities to spend, spend, spend.
For the best of history and culture, there’s no going past Scotland to visit Edinburgh Castle, which sits on an extinct volcano. Keep your camera charged though – enjoy the countryside’s breathtaking scenery of the region’s rivers and lochs, and take a ride on Loch Ness, the most famous of them all. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for you-know-who! Many internationally renowned festivals such as The Fringe, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and the Highland Games are held in Scotland, so be sure to check your calendar if you’d like to join in the festivities.
Get lucky in Northern Ireland and explore the capital of Belfast, a bustling city with a beautiful skyline and many parks and gardens. Take a bus tour, visit the birthplace of the Titanic, or see the wall murals in the political area of Shankill Road, as well as Falls Road and the Cathedral Quarter. A visit in March will put you in the middle of the raucous St Patrick’s Day celebrations. Northern Ireland’s surrounds include the walled city of Derry and the ruins of Dunluce Castle, which sits dramatically on the headland. For truly unique attractions, visit the Giants Causeway, a series of pillars formed by volcanic eruptions and the Murlough Bay National Nature Reserve, a 6000 year-old sand dune system excellent for walking and bird-watching.
What about the rest of England? We’ve got accommodation in Wales, famous for its beautiful beaches and mountains of Snowdonia; Wiltshire in South-West England, home to the prehistoric monument Stonehenge; and Manchester and Liverpool, which are great for retail therapy.
