Tourist Information
Enjoy a walking tour of Orange, pass by many wonderful old residences, churches and public buildings. Take a drive through many fascinating historic towns and villages surrounding the city. The Orange district is gaining an international reputation for cool climate wines. The region boasts many vineyards and boutique wineries, visitors will be more than welcome to sample their fine wines.
Orange boasts one of the largest gold and copper mines in the southern hemisphere, it is situated at Cadia, approximately 22km
from the Orange CBD and owned by Newcrest Mining.
Our parks and gardens are a favourite with visitors to our region. Take a stroll through the Orange Botanic Gardens, Robertson Park and Cook Park.
Mount Lindsay Rotary Park will provide you with magnificent views of our wonderful city.
Take a walk up our mountain. Mount Canobolas raises 1,395 meters above sea level and is the highest point between Sydney and Perth. You will find walking trails to nearby attractions such as Federal Falls and Mount Towac.
Play golf in beautiful surroundings. Orange has three quality golf courses where you can enjoy a game. Orange offers a host of
sport including bow hunting, canoeing, horse riding and horse racing just to name a few.
For the fishing enthusiast, the Orange District has many river and creek systems, which provide a variety of fish.
