Explore foreshore and urban reserves, cycle, enjoy a round of golf or a game of tennis; wander kilometres of readily accessible foreshore tracks, or simply laze in the sun.
Nearby Narawntapu National Park is best known for its abundance of the wildlife of Tasmania, including Forester kangaroos. Wildlife can also be viewed in bushland reserves at Port Sorell and Hawley Beach, and in the Port Sorell Conservation Area.

Port Sorell has for many years been a popular tourist resort for locals, but has been a best kept secret from visitors.
