While staying in your Koh Samui resort, don’t miss a visit to Hin Ta and Hin Ya. Meaning “Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks” and named for their similarity to the sexual organs, these unusual rock formations are located on the south end of Lamai Beach. Also be sure to visit the Na Muang Waterfall which falls from the highlands over two levels. The most easily accessible is the lower level, where the water falls 20m into a pool which is great for a refreshing swim.

Soak up the local culture with a visit to one of the island’s temples. Of most interest are Wot Sumret, which houses white marble Buddha thought to be hundreds of years old, and Wat Kiri Wongkaram and Wat Khunaram, which both contain the mummified bodies of monks, one still in the mediation position in which he died.

A visit to Koh Phangan should not be missed! It boasts white sandy beaches, great swimming and snorkelling - it’s only a short boat ride from your Koh Samui hotel. On the island is Hat Rin Beach where thousands come to dance the night away during the world-famous full moon parties.
