Welcome to Secret Valley Escape, a magnificent 200 acre romantic retreat located in Little Hartley in the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, a short 2 hour drive from Sydney. A world where time is still. Wake up to the morning light, step out onto your balcony and watch kangaroos foraging in the mist. Meander down to Blackheath Creek where the water runs over the rocks and search for platypus and turtles. Take a picnic through the valley, and ascend to the high fields where the wind sings to the gumtrees.

When you arrive at Secret Valley Escape you will immediately notice the peace and total tranquility. Sit quietly anywhere on the property, and you will see the bush come alive with a plethora of Australian birds and wildlife. Many of the birds seen at Secret Valley are listed as uncommon, becoming rare. It is a perfect place to relax and wind down, to refresh and regenerate, and view a new world.

You can enjoy the beautiful views from your cottage or if you wish you can venture out into the Secret Valley's private 200 acres of pristine Blue Mountains bush and wildlife, explore the cliffs, creeks and dams. Watch the sunset from our lookout vantage points over the valley and cliffs.

To explore wider afield, Secret Valley Escape is a perfect base to explore the other Blue Mountains attractions. Visit the Three Sisters at Katoomba and ride the world's steepest railway, or spend an afternoon in Leura exploring the shops and sipping on your tea or hot chocolate. There are innumerous bushwalks that can be undertaken in the area the tourist information will supply maps of available walks. Jenolan Caves is a 30-45 minute drive away, with take a intimate cave tour, or listen to music played in the beautiful acoustics of Cathedral Chamber. In autumn months mushroom picking can be found at the pine forest in Oberon.

For those who like to add a little adventure activity to to balance out all that relaxation, there are unique adventures to be enjoyed in the Blue Mountains - ranging from bushwalks of rich historic interest, to exhilarating canyoning adventures. Imagine abseiling through waterfalls and swimming through hidden underground pools. Guided outdoor rock climbing adventures are also available, and horse riding can be arranged in the nearby Megalong Valley.
