Inverell provides a variety of activities for visitors. Many activities (eg fossicking) are best enjoyed over a few days so relax, extend your stay a few days, and enjoy your time with us.

Here is a summary of some local attractions: -

Green Valley Farm – a local fun park providing entertainment for the young and young at heart. For visitors looking for a more relaxed experience browse through the museum and oddities exhibition, enjoy a Devonshire tea, or just wander the grounds.

Inverell Transport Museum – occupying over 4,000 square metres the Transport Museum provides exhibits from the early days or motoring (and earlier), through to many recent examples of motoring greats.

Inverell Heritage Village – see Inverell as it was in the early 1800’s through to early last century, visit the eucalypt grove; planted in memory of locals that lost their lives in conflict.

Lake Inverell Reserve – an idyllic reserve that is home to a number of bird species and aquatic animals. Lucky wanderers often get to see that rarest of mammals, the platypus.

Copeton Waters State Park – Copeton is a fisherman’s and water sports paradise being a large area of enclosed and somewhat sheltered water (about three times Sydney Harbour) see’s the dam as an all year round attraction. The park covers an area of 900 hectares and also offers bushwalking and waterslides.

Inverell Art Gallery – located in Evans St the Art Gallery contains a collection of original and creative pieces. The Gallery now also includes the Historic School of Arts.

Want to try your hand at fossicking? – there are a number of areas locally that you can fossick to your hearts content and maybe come away a little bit richer. Gems between 6 to 10 carats are a regular find, with the largest known amateur find being 34 carats.

Immediately opposite the motel is the East Inverell Bowling Club who can arrange meeting facilities for smaller groups and social events - we can arrange this on your behalf.
