Guest experience at the Royal Mail Hotel include Tours of our extensive Kitchen Garden, 26000 bottle wine cellar and conservation department. All tours must be pre booked prior to arrival.

The Royal Mail Hotel provides access to a variety of walks within the town of Dunkeld, on the Mt Sturgeon property and into the Grampians National Park.

The Grampians region of Western Victoria is a travel destination known for the best of nature - waterfalls, wildlife, walks, rock art, adventure activities abound. It's is also home to historical and contemporary wineries, farm gates, top notch dining experiences and great man made attractions. Guided walking or driving tours can be arranged via hotel reception.

Yoga -Griffins Hill is a peaceful, modern yoga retreat set in a six acre garden with spectacular views of the Southern Grampians. Small group yoga and relaxation sessions are available that cater for absolute beginners to advanced. Retreat weekends, private and small group classes are offered to Royal Mail Guests.

Helicopter Tours and Transfers - Heli Experiences offer helicopter transfers direct to the Royal Mail Hotel and luxury helicopter touring over the Grampians National Park.

Golf - Dunkeld is a great choice for a weekend golfing getaway. The unique 18-hole Grampians Golf Club is located between Mount Abrupt and Mount Sturgeon on the Victoria Valley Road in Dunkeld. The course, situated in a secluded bush land setting has black ‘scraps' and is naturally fertilised by its abundant kangaroo population. Other wildlife such as native birds, emus and wallabies are frequently spotted on the greens. Visitors are welcome, but are required to provide their own golf clubs.

Grampians Pure Sheep Dairy - Visit the Grampians Pure Sheep Dairy to see sheep being milked, yoghurt and cheeses being made and to sample and purchase their award winning sheep's milk yoghurt, fetta, cheddar and a range of other cheeses.

Greenvale Farm - beef, lamb and rare breed pork - Greenvale Homestead was built in the early 1850's and the property originally spanned more than 60,000 acres in the Western District now slightly more humble, the homestead looks over 1150 acres of scenic red gum pasture. Drop by to see rare breed Wessex Saddleback and Berkshire pigs roaming the paddocks and learn more about paddock to plate dining. Visit by appointment only.

Mt Zero Olives - If you feel like traveling further afield a visit to Mt Zero Olives is a must. Situated adjacent to the northern tip of the Grampians. Mt Zero produces award-winning extra virgin olive oil and pickled olives. Inspired by the Wimmera grains, Mt Zero also produces a falafel mix, spelt bread and foccacia mix, dukkah, chickpeas, red and french green lentils. We also manufacture a beetroot relish, apricot dukkah chutney and quince paste.

Wine Touring - In Dunkeld, visit Enigma Variations Wine Growers for tastings and sales of locally grown, biodynamic wines. Cellar door is open Thursday to Sunday 11am to 4pm by appointment. Located 4km east of the town centre on the Glenelg Hwy.

North of Dunkeld, visit the cellar doors of the Grampians Wine Region including Best's, Seppelt Great Western and Mount Langi Ghiran. South-west of Dunkeld in the Henty Wine Region, open cellar doors can be found at Barretts, Bochara, Crawford River, Henty Estate, Hochkirch, Kelso and Tarrington.
