Allan Gardens
Stroll through the exotic plant life of Allan Gardens with tropical plants from all over the world –from palm trees to cacti. The conservatory is almost 100 years old and has more than 16,000 square feet of greenhouse area.

Edwards Gardens
Roam through this quiet, formal, 14-hectare (35-acre) garden, just 15 minutes from our luxury hotel, featuring perennials and roses on the uplands and wildflowers, rhododendrons and an extensive rockery in the valley. Edwards Gardens is part of a series of parks that stretch over 240 hectares (593 acres) along the Don Valley.

High Park
Come and explore one of the most significant natural sites in Toronto. This 161-hectare (399-acre) park in the far west of Midtown was surveyor and architect John G. Howard's gift to the city. He lived in Colborne Lodge, which still stands in the park. The park provides a unique and unusual sense of wilderness within a major urban centre and is home to many species of wildlife, including birds, fish and animals.

Niagara Falls
More than 14 million tourists visit the Canadian side of the falls each year, and numerous tours are available from Toronto. After about an hour-long drive, you can board the famous Maid of the Mist to journey near the mouth of Niagara Falls for the best possible view. Then sample Canada’s famous ice wine and several other varieties at Niagara-on-the-Lake's Pillitteri Estates Winery.

Toronto Music Garden
Visit this unique music garden along Toronto’s waterfront to see the work of Cellist Yo-Yo Ma and landscape designer Julie Moir Messervy inspired by Bach's First Suites for Unaccompanied Cello.

The Toronto Zoo
Covering 284 hectares (701 acres) of parkland, this unique zoological garden contains some 5,000 animals, plus an extensive botanical collection. The entire family will enjoy a visit to the zoo, which also features Splash Island, Waterside Theater and Kids Zoo with a Dinosaurs Alive exhibit.

Historic Sights:

Black Creek Pioneer Village
The Village is an example of a typical crossroads community found in the Toronto area during the 1800s. As you explore 40 carefully restored heritage homes, shops & gardens, history will come alive as interpreters and artisans in period dress help you discover how settlers lived, worked and played.

Campbell House
Just over a mile from our Hyatt hotel sits the 1822 mansion of Sir William Campbell, a Loyalist and sixth chief justice of Upper Canada. Campbell House is the oldest remaining building from the original town of York and is a classical example of Georgian architecture – a rare find in Toronto.

Casa Loma
Visit Canada's Majestic Castle, Casa Loma, and step back in time to a period of European elegance and splendor. The former home of Canadian financier Sir Henry Pellatt, Canada's foremost castle is complete with decorated suites, secret passages, an 800-foot tunnel, towers, stables and beautiful 5-acre estate gardens (open May through October).

Colborne Lodge
This rare Regency picturesque cottage is a graceful monument to John and Jemima Howard, the couple who founded High Park. John Howard, one of Toronto’s first architects as well as a City Engineer and Surveyor, built Colborne Lodge in 1837 which still contains many original furnishings, artifacts and some of his own watercolours depicting images of early Toronto.

Fort York
This base was established by Lt. Gov. John Graves Simcoe in 1793 to defend "little muddy York," as Toronto was then known. Today, Fort York is home to Canada's largest collection of original War of 1812 buildings. Located less than four miles from Park Hyatt Toronto, the Fort is open year round and offers a number of services, including tours, exhibits, period room settings and seasonal demonstrations.

Mackenzie House
Situated in downtown Toronto, Mackenzie House is a Greek Revival row-house, which was purchased by the community for Mackenzie who was the first Mayor of Toronto, an outspoken newspaper editor and leader of the 1837 Upper Canada Rebellion. Explore the museum, the recreated print shop and gallery featuring changing exhibitions.

Ontario Legislature
At the northern end of University Avenue, with University of Toronto buildings to the east and west, lies Queen's Park. Embedded in its center is the rose-tinted sandstone-and-granite Ontario Legislature Building. The Legislative Assembly of Ontario offers a number of tours for an unforgettable look into Ontario's history and heritage.
