While staying in our Rome hotels there are a number of attractions which are "must-sees" for every tourist. The Pantheon, built in the 2nd century AD a pagan temple and converted to a church in 608 AD, is one of the best examples of Roman architecture. Why not take advantage or our Vatican hotels to visit the Vatican and see the famous frescoes by Raphael and Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican Museum and St Peter's Cathedral. While staying in our Historical Centre hotels, visit the famous Spanish Steps, which is a meeting place for young Romans, make a wish at the beautiful Trevi Fountain and test out the legend of the Mouth of Truth in the portico of St Maria Church, which apparently will bite off the hand of a liar. Or visit the well preserved ruins of the Trajan's Markets and Forum, which archaeologists say was the world's first shopping mall.
