All tours to the Great Barrier Reef, Rainforest, Hinterland and many other attractions begin with operator pick up from reception and end with delivery back to the door. Grosvenor friendly and helpful reception staff are fully experienced in advising and arranging tour bookings, and also on the many other attactions to assist guests make the most of their stay.

Cairns Discovery Tour
1/2 Day Tour - This afternoon you will be going out on your Cairns Discovery Tour (pick up from Grosvenor in Cairns at 12.35 pm). You are about to experience a fun, relaxing, fascinating and very informative afternoon discovering Cairns. You will be given a historic journey through paradise in a small personalised group. You will be taken on a drive through the Cairns CBD and Port area before visiting St Monica's Cathedral to view the captivating "Creation Windows". You will then be treated to a professional guided walk in Flecker Botanic Gardens before indulging in a delicious afternoon 'Devonshire' tea at the Edge Hill gourmet caf?. You will then travel to a scenic lookout in the hills to look down and over Cairns and the Coral Sea before visiting the unique "Outback Opal Mine". You will then travel to the Barron Gorge National Park to view the Surprise Creek Falls before finally arriving at beautiful Palm Cove where you can enjoy a sunset stroll along the beach and jetty. A relaxing drive back to Grosvenor in Cairns follows, arriving at approximately 6.30 pm.

Reef Experience - Full day tour (outer reef)
A full day tour to two locations at the outer Great Barrier Reef. You are picked up from Grosvenor in Cairns by coach at approximately 7.15 am and then travel to Cairns Reef Terminal where you will board the luxurious 'Reef Experience'. After departing the Reef Terminal you will be transported in air conditioned comfort (or lay out on the sundeck) out to the 'outer reef' where you will visit two exclusive reef locations (Hastings Reef / Norman Reef / Saxon Reef or Breaking Patches) . You spend 6 hours out on the reef and included in your tour are the following - A freshly prepared tropical BBQ breakfast on the way out to the reef, A guided snorkel, introductory dive or certified dive, Glass bottomed boat tour and commentary, A smorgasbord hot and cold lunch, morning and afternoon tea, Wine and cheese/fruit platter on return journey from the reef, all equipment and wetsuit hire, a limit on tour numbers to ensure personalised service, Bus transfers to and from accommodation, All reef levies and charges, A marine biologist reef presentation. Return to Grosvenor in Cairns will be at around 5.00 pm.

Reef Tour - Passions of Paradise
A full day tour to two locations at the outer Great Barrier Reef. You are picked up from Grosvenor in Cairns by coach at approximately 7.00 am and then travel to Cairns Reef Terminal where you will board the stylish and fast 'sailing' catamaran "Passions of Paradise". After departing the Reef Terminal you will be transported in air conditioned comfort (or lay out on the sundeck) out to the 'outer reef' where you will visit two exclusive reef locations; Michaelmas Cay ( an exclusive sand cay/small sand island & Paradise Reef). You spend 6 hours out on the reef and included in your tour are the following - Snorkel tuition, free flotation vests, free guided snorkel tour, A smorgasbord hot and cold lunch including prawns and fresh tropical fruit, morning tea with fresh brewed coffee and muffins, Afternoon tea with cheese platter; free 10 minute in water introduction to scuba diving; A marine biologist reef presentation; All reef levies and charges; Return to Grosvenor in Cairns will be at around 5.00 pm.

Big Cat Green Island Tour
A visit to a Coral Island on the Great Barrier Reef on Big Cat, a spacious and modern air-conditioned catamaran. You will be picked up by the bus from Grosvenor in Cairns (at 8 am) and transferred to your boat, Big Cat, at Marlin Wharf. When you arrive at Green Island you will have a choice of many activities today. You will be able to take advantage of your choice of Coral viewing in a Glass Bottom Boat with fish feeding and commentary and snorkelling and swimming in the clear cool island waters. You can walk or swim from the sheltered beach with plenty of shady retreats. Spend time browsing the resort shops for gifts and souvenirs. Explore the island, walk the beach and rainforest tracks. Parasail, hire a surf ski or canoe. Visit Marineland Melanesia's nautical museum and see the live crocodiles. If you are very adventurous you can take an Introductory SCUBA dive or go Oceanwalker helmet diving on the edge of Green Island Reef. Enjoy a delicious Aussie BBQ lunch with a variety of foods freshly prepared and served on board. After a memorable day enjoy the trip back to Marlin Wharf on Trinity Inlet and transfer back to the Grosvenor in Cairns.

Sunlover Reef Cruises Tour
A full day reef tour which visits a permanent outer reef pontoon at Moore Reef. Departure from the reef terminal is at 10 am. The tour includes; 4 1/2 hours at Moore Reef, tea and coffee upon boarding, a fast catamaran trip to the outer reef and back, a presentation on board by a marine naturalist, all snorkelling equipment, glass bottomed boat tour, semi submersible boat tour, underwater observatory, fish feeding presentation, freshwater showers and change rooms, tropical buffet lunch with seafood, full bar facilities, afternoon tea, bus transfers to and from accommodation, all reef levies and charges.

Outer Barrier Reef Tour - A full day tour to two locations at the outer Great Barrier Reef. You are picked up from Grosvenor in Cairns by coach at approximately 7.00 am and then travel to Cairns Reef Terminal where you will board the luxurious 'OSPREY V'. After departing the Reef Terminal you will be transported in air conditioned comfort (or lay out on the sundeck) out to the 'outer reef' where you will visit two exclusive reef locations (Hastings Reef / Norman Reef / Saxon Reef ) . You spend 5 hours out on the reef and included in your tour are the following - Morning tea and coffee, , all snorkelling equipment and instruction, Semi-submersible, an Aussie BBQ lunch, Afternoon tea, Wine and cheese/fruit platter on return journey from the reef, a limit on tour numbers to ensure personalised service, Bus transfers to and from accommodation. Return to Grosvenor in Cairns will be at around 5.00 pm.

Dinner Cruise
The 'Dinner Cruise' departs the Reef Terminal at 7 pm and you sail the calm waters of Trinity Inlet for 2 1/2 hours aboard a luxurious catamaran during which time you can partake of the superb 4 course buffet (including seafood). You are given a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival and during the cruise there is live entertainment.

Crocodile Explorer
Departs Cairns Harbour twice daily at either 9.30 am or 1.30 pm. A half day tour. Alongside Cairns is a magnificent tidal estuary that is rarely seen except by fishermen. Only accessible by boat, Crocodile Explorer is the only luxury, air-conditioned cruise taking small numbers of visitors along Trinity Inlet on this scenic nature cruise. With waterways winding through a 300 square kilometre maze of mangroves, expect rich, diverse wildlife, stunning scenery and a relaxing cruise with informative commentary from the crew. This is the saltwater crocodiles natural habitat ? spot them basking on the muddy banks. Crocodile Explorer has exclusive access to this commercial crocodile farm. You will arrive by boat or coach. There are no ?jumping crocodile? shows here; this is Australia?s largest crocodile farm with over 20,000 farm crocodiles and 200 large breeding crocodiles. Skins from this farm are considered to be the highest grade in the world. During your insiders tour you will get close up to the crocodiles in their natural environment and learn from very knowledgeable tour guides about crocodile breeding habits, how the eggs are collected and how the crocodiles are farmed. You will cruise to or from the crocodile farm aboard the MV Crocodile Explorer and complete the other one way journey on a 30 minute coach trip through the area of southern Cairns, taking in the wide open sugar cane field and along the way your guide will provide insightful information about the sugar cane industry and the history of the area.

Cape Tribulation / Daintree Rainforest day tour conducted by Billy Tea Bush Safaris
You are going to the Daintree/Cape Tribulation area with Billy Tea's Bush Safaris. You are picked up from Grosvenor in Cairns by a fully air-conditioned, special purpose 4 wheel drive vehicle at around 7 am. You then travel north from Cairns through Port Douglas and Mossman to the Daintree River where you will partake of morning tea. You will then be taken on a 1 hour Daintree River Cruise where an expert guide will explain the river ecosystem and the habitat of estuarine crocodiles (you are likely to see at least a couple on the cruise). After the river cruise your journey continues up the Alexander Range where you will pause for a panoramic view of the World Heritage listed Tropical Range Forrest where it merges with the azure colours of the Coral Sea. You then experience the wonders of the rainforest first hand on a guided stroll along the elevated National Park Boardwalk. You are then treated to a wonderful tropical BBQ lunch and have the chance to see and hand feed a kangaroo. After lunch you continue your journey beyond Cape Tribulation along the Bloomfield Track to Emmagen Creek where you can relax by the creek, go for a refreshing fresh water swim, look for turtles and butterflies but watch out for crocodiles (only kidding!!!). At Emmagen Creek you will indulge in a feast of tropical fruit, have a complimentary glass of wine or savour a cup of traditional 'billy tea'. Your return journey towards Cairns includes a stop at Cape Tribulation Beach where there is time to go for a swim or stroll along the beach and boardwalk where the "rainforest meets the sea". After leaving Cape Tribulation Beach you head south to the Daintree River which is crossed by vehicle ferry and then you begin the scenic journey back toward Cairns. Arrival back at Grosvenor in Cairns will be at around 6.30 pm.

Waterfalls, Mamu Canopy Tour, Paronella Park
This eco certified tour departs the Cairns coast and ascends the Lamb Range providing panoramic views of the Mulgrave River from Heals Lookout. Board the first morning cruise on the calm waters of the extinct volcanic crater, Lake Barrine. View the lakes abundant wildlife and marvel at the vibrant, old growth World Heritage listed rainforest surrounding Lake Barrine whose deep waters are filled by crystal clear rainwater. Back on land a short walk reveals the Twin Kauri Pine Trees ? amongst Australia?s largest trees, these 1000 year old forest giants are amongst Australia?s largest trees. After a short journey you will be guided along boardwalks to the ancient Giant Curtain Fig Tree ? an amazing accomplishment of nature. The surrounding forest is also home to the elusive and shy Lumholtz?s Tree Kangaroo. You then commence your tour of the Waterfalls Circuit with the world famous Millaa Millaa Falls, a brief swim is possible here. An excellent 2 course lunch is served outdoors in a private gazebo uniquely situated atop Mungalli Falls which are the highest falls on the tableland. You then travel to the MaMu rainforest canopy walkway and tower. From the canopy walk you will take in the enormity of this beautiful landscape and the North Johnstone River. Stand high in the rainforest with both spectacular cantilever viewing platform?s and tower canopy views of the remote wilderness. Descending the range you will arrive at Paronella Park where you will be accompanied by the park?s knowledgeable guide for a leisurely tour of the National Trust listed Heritage Gardens and the remains of North Queensland?s first hydro-electric plant which Jose Paronella built on the beautiful Mena Creek in the early 20th century. Feed the fish and turtles or just relax below the Mena Creek Falls. On the ride back to Cairns enjoy the views of two of Queensland?s highest mountains; Mt Bellenden Ker and Mt Bartle Frere.
