The "Europa", built in 1869 as the "Grand Hotel de l'Europe", the hotel quickly established its reputation as the Number One Place to Stay, with its distinguished guests lavishing praise upon it. It is still the only 5-star hotel in Innsbruck. The legendary Ludwig II, King of Bavaria, declared: "This is the most beautiful place in Innsbruck to celebrate a special occasion.
