Stay in our Fingal Bay accommodation and enjoy this beautiful coastal town. Fingal Bay is surrounded by the Tomaree National Park and is the most easterly township in the Port Stephens area. Fingal Bay runs from the northern head which is known as Fingal Spit and Point Stephens to the southern head known as Fingal Head.
Located just five minutes from both Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay, our Fingal Bay accommodation is the perfect place to base yourself to explore the local area. Fingal Bay has a range of accommodation to suit all budgets and it is the ideal location to relax, or get out and enjoy the great outdoors.
Beach lovers will enjoy exploring the charming bay or swimming in the patrolled surfing beach. Or for the more adventurous, Fingal Head is great for a spot of fishing which is permitted from both the beach and the head. This is also an excellent spot for whale watching between September and November. Cabbage Tree Island can be seen from the bay and is home to the Gould’s Petal which is one of the rarest birds in the world. The unique flora and fauna ensures that visitors are prohibited from the island; however the surrounding waters are ideal for diving or snorkeling.
Visitors can take a boat trip to the bay to see wild bottlenose dolphins, visit the Stockton Sand Dunes or visit the local wineries at Bobs Farm. For the adventurous, there are jet skis for hire or scuba diving lessons at Port Stephens. There are plenty of things to keep you occupied, so go ahead and book your Fingal Bay accommodation for a charming coastal escape.
