End of the Line Railway Accommodation

End of the Line Railway Accommodation

Located 12 minutes from Daylesford at Blampied. Choose from either a restored authentic Signal Box from Ballarat offering accommodation for one couple (2 adults) only. Guests have likened it to feeling like a tree-house because of the views. Spend time outdoors enjoying the shaded paved courtyard. The Governor's Carriage has been restored in the style of a private carriage from the 1920's designed for one couple (2 adults). The carriage sits on track at its own platform. Both come with high definition flat screen digital television as well as heating and cooling.

  • Historical value, peaceful wake up. Also, it's a train!
  • Phone box needed a lock of paint. Not good if spider webs freak you out. It's a bit hot until you get the air conditioners going.
  • There's a bit of wildlife and beautiful birdsong to wake up to.

  • I don't mind a web or two

Thanks for your comments, yes warmer days make the air conditioners useful. The phone box is merely a garden ornament/curio it does attract cobwebs but should not detract from the accommodation.

  • TV and reception. not that we used it much.
  • Breakfast used to be bacon and eggs. We missed that.

Thanks for your feedback. The television reception is better with the aerial switched on as suggested in the compendium, we have added a note near the television. Your stay was listed with continental breakfast provisions only as reflected in the advertised price. Glad you enjoyed your 4th visit.

  • Gorgeous, quaint accommodation surrounded by beautiful sprawling countryside perfect for long drives and peaceful picnics!
  • Unsealed windows allowing for creepy crawlies to enter the accommodation
  • The very average provisions of cereal, bread & bottled juice being advertised as a 'continental breakfast' is misleading and disappointing.

Thanks for your comments. I have again checked with AAA and the breakfast provisions provided are in line with those defined by them as meeting the advertised definition. Sadly spiders are a way of life in the bush. Windows are actually sealed, of the 84 only four do not have screens. Insect/spider sprays are provided for the occasional unwanted guest.

  • Quite , peasful and well layer out .
  • It would be helpful if there was a sign down near the corner next to the pub with the distance on it .

Signage is always difficult. It took us several years to obtain approval for the existing sign at the corner. An additional sign half way indicates the remaining distance. All Victorian rural properties now have numbers indicating their location. Ours is 215 indicating we are just 2.15kms to the Hotel on the corner.
