Dugong Beach Resort offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, set in a lush tropical landscape with restaurant, bar, fully-equipped functions and conference facilities, gymnasium, pools and spa, all inter-connected by boardwalks to preserve the natural surroundings.
The property comprises 60 waterfront rooms, bungalows and suites, set on 25 hectares of coastline with breathtaking ocean views from almost every part of the resort.
The low-impact eco resort is owned by the Aboriginal people of Groote Eylandt, some of whom are employed at the resort.

Groote Eylandt is a fantastic spot for fishing. The adjacent Escape Sport Fishing & Wilderness Lodge offers anglers the opportunity to experience the thrill of catching many different fish species, such as barramundi, black marlin, tuna and many more.
For a unique indigenous experience, tours include Historical Art Site Tour, Shallow Water Hunting Tour, Bush Tucker Discovery Tour and Emerald River Tour.
