Merewether is one of the most popular beachside suburbs of Newcastle and home to a number of sporting celebrities who take advantage of this great location. Surfing, swimming, walking, cycling, whale watching (seasonal), dolphin watching (nearly all year round. Enjoy a coffee a Surfhouse right on Merewether beach and the talk of the town. Take a 45 minute drive to the vineyards and experience the magnificent areas of Pokolbin, Lovedale, Rothbury famous for some of the Hunters best wines.
Or experience a day cruise on the harbour or tracking the whales as they migrate north for the winter.
Newcastle with its working harbour is a fantastic sight by day or night.
