The Alpine Hotel was recently awarded the 2011 AHA Best country Hotel accommodation award. The hotel was built in 1938 with an Art Deco theme and is situated on the main street of Cooma. The hotel has recently been purchased and has undergone some major renovations to bring it back to its former glory. The Alpine Hotel has 27 pub-style, all non-smoking rooms.
